yeah. he's the 'president'. not the king

are reparations owed to the descendants of slaves? yes, one hundred percent
.

but even tho it was a crime against a significant portion of this country, it isnt gonna happen unless it's taken by force
Then why say anything at all? We never expected reparations to begin with don't hit us with the Juelz gif talking about reparations Obama.

TYRONE GA!
It should be in the form of free education doesn't necessarily have to be money.

We should not have to pay for college at all.

And it's something that is more feasible.

Keep it funky...there's not realistically enough money to give us. What's the amount? It'll never be enough.

The guy couldn't get simple shyt through congress or the Senate. He's been fighting the only way he knows how, by pushing progressive agenda and getting money put back into the populace and infrastructure.. Bernie Sanders wanted to do the same thing. The US Government isn't going to cut checks for blacks unless we go out, vote and get those GOP members out of office.

Black people dont live in those white ass states they got a stranglehold over...:yeshrug: so voting them out is a pipe dream...

I think we're pissed is because he didnt even TRY!!!!! :birdman:

Even a White guy gets it...

There's really no excuse for descendants of slaves and the victims of Jim Crow not to have additional, generational, support from the government to make up for generations of loss wealth...

Only reason why it doesn't happen is because the USA doesn't want to be guilty of anything...

An apology and an effort to rectify the situation is an admission of wrongdoing...that can't be weaseled out of with moral relativism...

Should blacks get reparations? Yes. Would Obama, or any President for that matter be successful in getting that done with this Congress? HELL FUKKIN NO. If you think otherwise you need to pick up a newspaper from the last 8 years. And if you are one of the people calling him a "c00n" because of this, then congratulations, you are a certified IDIOT.

the problem with that tho is if he did just that, the black american community would be branding him a sellout or something. As black americans, we have to have that black awareness in all things. We have to accept this is what it & we have to move towards a black economic based within our communities.

Again, you got to keep your plans in your head and never announce anything. You can't let your enemy know what's your next move. That's how black America been getting taken advantage of: we reveal ourselves too much thanks to pride and arrogance.

In 2016, any indication of black people getting preferential treatment by the ruling powers is seen as offensive or racist against white people. This will never happen politically.

More jems from the article:

Coates: So perhaps more substantive than that early-on critique, for instance—and Valerie [Jarrett] and I talked a little bit about this—when you attempted to bring in some of the Black Lives Matter activists and folks refused. And I heard you address this at Howard, too. What I would say—did you understand why some of them refused? Could you comprehend it?

Obama: Oh, I absolutely could comprehend it. A couple of them refused because they’re 20, or 21. I mean, that’s why they refused. It’s the same as when we were working on immigration reform and there was a young Latino man, young immigration activist here who, in the Roosevelt Room, refused to shake my hand.

Coates: Are you serious?

Obama: Absolutely. And I’m going around the table shaking everybody’s hand. And he made a point of saying, “I can’t shake your hand; you’re deporting too many people.” And I just said to him, “Young man, I’m glad that you feel so passionately about this issue, but you’re with the president right now in the White House. You’ve got to think about what’s going to be most effective in getting what you need, what you’re trying to accomplish. Because this may not be your best strategy.”

Coates: How did he respond?

Obama: Like a 21-year-old would, which is sort of a mixture of defiance and uncertainty and embarrassment. Which is fine. Look, so I guess I don’t—one of the things you understand, and it’s hard to do, but you—and I’m not saying I’m impervious to criticism—but one of the things that you come pretty early on to understand in this job, and you start figuring out even during the course of the campaign, is that there’s Barack Obama the person and there’s Barack Obama the symbol, or the office holder, or what people are seeing on television, or just a representative of power. And so when people criticize or respond negatively to me, usually they’re responding to this character that they’re seeing on TV called Barack Obama, or to the office of the presidency and the White House and what that represents. And so you don’t take it personally. You understand that if people are angry that somehow the government is failing, then they are going to look to the guy who represents government. And that applies, by the way, even to some of the folks who are now Trump supporters. They’re responding to a fictional character named Barack Obama who they see on Fox News or who they hear about through Rush Limbaugh.

:mjlol:he never gave him that hand shake but O-bam-a actively caters to that group of illegals.
