Biden will look "presidential" very soon. I know some are not excited about it but watch. Then when he is on stage across from Trump, he's going to look and sound like a President while Trump is going to look like a fukking clown.

Anyone saying Biden don't have what it takes hasn't considered how he will look across from Trump. Ask Paul Ryan.
Biden is better in 1 on 1 debates and in a smaller setting. He wouldn't have the smaller setting against Trump, but he would have the 1 on 1. When Trump tries to bully and demean him, he would be able to stand up against Trump and outright shyt in him in forceful ways that nobody else except Bernie could do.

Breh,
What is not clear? It is a fact that there are more than just 3 swing states. Trump also won Iowa, Ohio, and FL. All states that Obama won in 2012. Trump also won NC, a state that Obama won in 08 and barley lost in 2012. Texas, Georgia and Arizona are also considered swing states now. Yes Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are important but it is just silly to say that they are the only states that matter. Also Clinton barley won NH, Virginia, and Minnesota. It is a mistake to think those states are in the bag.

When did I say there were only 3? I used them as examples. Also, you are exaggerating how many are going to be competitive. Texas for example is not going to be competitive. It's still too red. Beto looked strong because he did have a nice movement down there but more importantly Cruz is hated. Trump will not lose in Texas.

Yang would do better in a general against Trump than Castro :hubie:
well that's obvious given where castro is polling, but castro has more fleshed proposals and ideas i'd like to hear more on. i try to listen to yang's answers and he doesn't ever seem to propose much, if anything and his health care plan is meh

Uncertain grounds
I'm pretty critical of Castro's record but his platform has come together and his debate stage work has been impressive. I honestly think he's one of the most slept on candidates in the race, he's got some good ideas. Yang's got some new things to bring to the table that I'm happy about though. They're both better than some of these others for my tastes tbh. But that's purely me, I completely get why people wouldn't agree with that.

Castro would have a far better "performance"than yang in the traditional sense. Debates, speeches etc

But Yang has the grassroots support and would turn out more voters as well as attract unconventional (for lack of a better term) voters than castro

Yang is known for proposing 1k to people

Castro is (mostly) known for being extremely bold on immigration

Which stance is more palatable to the most amount of people?

Shifting focus of impeachment to why Trump got elected

Agree to disagree :yeshrug:

speaking of his book, you should check it out.
the first two are part of the same conversation and the one he uses to lead into his :deadhorse: UBI plan (that's not fricking happening)

we know why trump got elected...shifting the conversation isnt a proposal, idea, or plan

Well that's what I'm saying.. When the questions break down into policy discussion Biden is going to look like the smartest man in the world next to this clown. But then when Trump tries that big boy shyt... Joe is going to have ammo and be ready.

Hilary tried to be above it. Biden won't be above throwing digs and cheap shots at Trump lol

You're probably right fam, the only pause for me is if Yang is vanishing on this debate stage then lord help him in front of Trump. But just generally speaking, I think Castro's vision feels more coherent. His UBI alone would probably carve out a strong electoral performance though, I definitely can't front about that.

The Deep State
Sam Seder has a great debate recap going right now. Explaining why Bernie and Warren did so well tonight.
Sam Seder and Cenk should have just endorsed Warren.

Cause they know Warren is better on race. WAY better.

Seder was breaking down how Sanders is functionally tone deaf on race and minimizing it to economics.

And that's almost more of a reason he doesn't get more talk time in debates than media 'blackballing' him.

His only function is to get UBI into mainstream and that's where it stops. He's got nothing else that he can go in depth on.

This was a nice run and I'm glad UBI was introduced into broader conversation but it's time for him to go :camby:
