The shutdown affected my department but they kinda found a workaround. Right now I'm off but still getting paid, it's so dumb because I have a contract but they have workers that take care of physical aspects that can't work so in turn we can't work either, except they're not getting paid but we are.

TSA officer here. Reporting from the front lines. Right now things are calm because we still gonna get one more check at least. Things won’t get heavy till this last 2 or 3 weeks. So folks showing up to work and I’m even doing a double today. I’m “off” tomorrow for my wife’s bday only cause it was pre approved before the shutdown. Any new leave request have to manager approved and they ain’t approving shyt lol. So the temperament is wait and see for nown
