Sticking with Hart in Game 6, that's a valid complaint. Brunson/KAT being hunted on defense & missed free throws at the end of Game 1 is a player problem. They made free throws at the end of games against Boston so I'm not buying the fatigue excuse, they just choked, it is what it is.
Caused by long minutes tired legs it's hard to settle and hit free throws anyone who has played ball on any level knows this.

Continuing to stick with Hart during the regular season for months when it wasn't working is inexcusable. Waiting till the ECF to make a "change" but not really make a change because he still was closing games & getting 30+ mins is beyond inexcusable; it's incompetence, abysmal & self sabotage at this point

There is a difference between game 84, and game 95 40x11 is 440 minutes total difference. Add the rest of the season and them calves is burning. Towns missed a few Games but was limping since late in the regular season. But Mikal played all 101 games with the exception of that game he came in started and was benched.

He stuck with Hart because he was pushing pace and crashing boards when nobody else on the team was. Was I fully onboard? No, I've said in here several times this season Hart shouldn't be starting to begin with.

But the roster options are limited. The vet (Shamet) wasn't defending shyt during the season and the rookie (Dadiet) was stinking it up in G-League. Delon Wright? Yeah maybe I guess.

Here's the thing though...........You go out your way to axe a coach who is in the middle of the Knicks best run since backwards fitteds and size 56 jerseys, and just made the most progress in his tenure.............you BETTER be sure who you are bringing in has the magic to take you over the top.

Die and be a hero or live long enough to be the Bulls when they thought Fred Hoiberg was the messiah

@mvp_status the Indiana season started games 95,96,97,98,99,100,101of the season with the starting roster that played the most minutes by far all season and it showed on the floor.

A player complained about the coach playing him so many minutes. But you know right you got it :hubie: players should be ready to play 40+ minutes for 101 games and not be tired. No team has won with this type of lineup and minutes before not in the modern era. Thibs methods are good for young up and coming sub .500 teams. And all he has proven is his starters get hurt more than most :deadrose: you must have forgot. He Got Deng paid but at the price of his knees. If this team want to advance past the ECF we need better strategy.we already got 2 all NBA guys. And 2 more potential all stars talent guys. So the dead weight is the coaching.

Your starting 5 can't be terrible if it won 51 games and two playoff rounds

Wright/Shamet/Precious are place holders can't create offense. Marginal defenders

Mitch/Deuce. Can't create offense. Solid defenders

Playing people more minutes. Who can't score. Is detrimental to team success. Lol

Yall want poor creators and poor FT shooters to play all game. shyts bizarre
Oh my god they really going to bat for this garbage ass bench :mjlol:

Shamet a garbage time shooter :mjlol:

Everyone here thought Delon was washed and wondered why he picked him up I remember having to tell nikkas he could still play and was a high level defender :mjlol:

That goes without saying. If you run this back and change nothing but get the same results, is that somehow better? Whatever the Front Office decides better be the right decision. We are at the VERY LOW margin of error phase of team building.

If we getting in the player perspective bag, I care more about Brunson's opinion than Bridges. And JB said Thibs playing him all those minutes during the season gave him the endurance to cook at the end of playoff games

We all know Thibs be wilin sometimes with the minutes though lol

If they were to get dumped on by the Pacers again with the same roster, then no. At that point the "this team has plateaued" argument would hold more weight.

Realistically though they'll do their best to address some of the roster weaknesses before they even consider moving on from Thibs.

Very low chance this is the same exact team come October, just my guess

Bro, this doesn't negate anything I said or the valid criticisms he's received for being stubborn & incompetent. He still played Hart big mins when he KNEW it wasn't working. He didn't experiment or try to make changes during the regular which more than likely could've helped our chances in the playoffs.

In anything in life, when you're that much stuck in your owns ways & refuse to change, you'll fail, stop growing, & will go stale.

He needs to be fired

I get why people want Thibodeau replaced, and I agree that his refusal to experiment with different line-ups in the regular season bit him in the end. But it's not as simple as "replace Thibs and win," because a lot of coaches are trash or mid. Thibodeau's legitimately one of the better coaches in the league, and you're not guaranteed to land a better coach in replacing him.

Last season's roster was perfectly tailored for Thibodeau and overachieved like crazy. This roster wasn't a great fit, yet it still made the ECF. So, I'd be willing to see if Leon Rose and Brock Aller can use this offseason to put the final tweaks on a very talented unit. If Thibodeau gets outcoached again next year, or if the pieces still aren't gelling, then it's work the risk to move on from him.

Yeah, he's a flawed coach. But Thibs is consistently going to give you a competitive team. The Knicks have gotten closer each year under him, and Brunson loves him. After the gauntlet of bad coaches we witnessed post-Woodson, I think the best Knicks coach since the turn of the century deserves one more shot...even if I do get frustrated.
