They knocked off the champs when nobody thought they had a chance and made the conference finals for the first time in 25 years

Solid evidence.....word

And Hart won't be starting next year regardless
I think we beat Boston (I've ALWAYS thought we could bro) because we're the more gritty & tougher team. That could be a credit to Thibs but we're still losing in the exact same ways we've been losing all season long with Thibs making minimal adjustments or only when someone's in foul trouble

Hart might be starting but if he's still on the team, you can be damn sure he'll more than likely be closing games just like this whole playoffs. I have no reason NOT to believe Thibs will change that or the minutes Hart gets.

Those are clean signs he needs to move to a front office position where he can develop young talent

But then we did beat Boston. And ran into a team that exposed all our flaws in embarrassing fashion. If you genuinely believe Thibs can right the ship I can respect that. But it’s gotta based on more than “well he’s gotten us this far”. Cause nobody is denying that, we’re just arguing that this is as far as he can take us.

The offense sputtered at times which some of that is on Thibs to be fair.

But the bigger issue to me was these nikkas couldn't get a stop when it mattered. Thats a personnel/roster problem more than anything. A new coach isnt going to suddenly make Brunson fight thru screens or give KAT a +20 in his lateral foot speed rating.

I do think they should Fire Thibs, cause he dusty but I doubt it. Between Brunson not even wanting to hear a question about it, and the fact they got to ECF i dont see them letting him go. He got outcoached, but the coaching ain’t what beat them. The Brunson/KAT defensive issues did and no there is no way to stagger for that effectively when Hart is the sixth man who can’t get heavy minutes either.

Based on everything I think it’s KAT who gets moved. We already heard reports that Thibs is good. We then heard reports everyone is annoyed with KAT. Unless Rose come‘s out with a statement saying KAT is here to stay I don’t see it working out.

If I was a gambling man I would say peep Trey Murphy as someone who might come back to NY. He is boys with Brunson, NOP just said he is on the market, and I think a KD trade is going to need about 3-4 teams to get around all the apron shyt involved. I don’t think the Knicks want KD, he is a little bit of a prima donna who deserves to be based on his talent but the Knicks whole culture is about “next man up“ and team cohesiveness. For a guy who got Atkinson fired so his puppet coach Nash could be hired and Lowkey runs through coaches more than anyone except Lebron. I don’t see the Knicks getting KD. It’s never 100% hops with MSG it’s at least 25% maybe more about relationships.

Anyhow peep Trey Murphy. This is sort of like when I told ya’ll they are going to go for Bridges. If Murphy is on the market trust they are gonna try to get him, if they can get that Pelicans center Missi to be Robinson’s back up I think they would go to a lot of trouble to get that deal done.
I like this and they can pitch this to Towns as a reunion with his boy in Phoenix. we might need to take one of NOP big contracts which would probably mean CJ McCullum, dream scenario would be Missi, Murphy and dejountay for defense and to stagger him with the bench guys.
and please no Zion he would be food for them Bronx birds and them westchester/ Nassau county pawgs he also wouldn't fit with brunson ball and would be another liability on switches. Make Hart a Pelican Again :lolbron:

15 minutes per game is right where majority of the Knicks back ups needed to be

Over rating these nikkas ability to play basketball is nuts

Leon is replacing all them dudes with actual shooters. Im not worried

But the offense CANT sputter when you have 2 top 15 players on your roster. That is gross malpractice. Indiana is not a great defense. I’ll say that until my face is blue. Yes they figured out how to stifle an exhausted Brunson in a one note offense after 6 games. Credit to them. But as a team, they leaned into their strengths and that’s pace and ball movement. We’re a team that leans into our coaches strengths strictly, roster construction be damned. One of the two has to give. Either you get a coach that can lean into the teams strengths, or get the players that lean into the coach’s.

You felt they could beat the champs because of the attributes that Thibs instilled on the team, but you want him gone because its clear he shouldn't be the coach?

Huh?

he is saying keep em around in another role not coaching. I believe he has reached his ceiling, he has shown he is what he is a 500 playoff coach with a tendency to lean on his guys and being all defense the defense failed , and the offense struggled due to the main guys being hunted on defense, so the coach failed to put the all NBA personnel in position to win, game one was a coaching failure, bad transition defense , not calling a timeout and letting the game get out of hand in the second half of game 6 while also leaving in Josh hart was what did us in. thats on coaching all the missed free throws at home trust me from experience was guys tired from playing all them minutes on game # 95 of the season. It was up to the coach to find them minutes to rest during the season breh back in late march we was up 25 on a team late fourth quarter all starters in. he did that shyt all season we are lucky that no one got a mayor injury other than hukporti.

Come on bro, don't be disingenuous & ignore all of the things I posted (and others) here that you said you read when you made your comment lol

He's good at getting a bad team to buy in & give them structure but he has a body of work that's shown he hits his ceiling at some point

But then, why trade for KAT in the first place? It was such an unforced error if you think the Thibs way is the way to a title. We should have just kept last years team with Mikal...
its going to be hard to get rid of that contract unless his boy up in Phoenix says I want him here Book that :youngsabo: so lets get rid of the weight we can send Thibs up to the upper office with H20.

I don't know if he's hit his ceiling, they've gone further in the playoffs than the previous yr for the last three seasons.

Maybe, but you're arguing something else entirely now

Sticking with Hart in Game 6, that's a valid complaint. Brunson/KAT being hunted on defense & missed free throws at the end of Game 1 is a player problem. They made free throws at the end of games against Boston so I'm not buying the fatigue excuse, they just choked, it is what it is.
