I knew someone would say that shyt on some recency bias shyt. Like Boston and Denver didn’t just win playing 7 guys.
Indiana and OKC actually have talent on the bench (and OKC won’t be this deep much longer they have guys to pay). I’d love a deep bench. I’d love to be able to go 10 deep. We don’t have the fukking guys. The hypocrisy is watching fukking Knicks fan complain on Twitter when the likes of Sims, Achiuwa, and Payne touched the floor while crying that these young players who clearly aren’t ready weren’t getting major rotational minutes and questioning why a ‘washed’ Delon Wright was brought in to then jump on his dikk.
Kidd, nor Udoka, nor Finch, nor Brown, nor Mazzula, nor Malone are deep rotation coaches.
Jenkins was but fans complained about that too.
Deep rotation doesn’t work on a team like the Knicks that has little to no depth where there is a chance that no one on last years team will be in the NBA in 3 seasons outside of Robinson (whose really a starter) and Deuce (maybe). U will trade a set of critiques for another set like rotations, questionable substitutions, and players do become disgruntled which is exactly how it went down with Jenkins.
I actually agree. The issue wasn’t that we didn’t go ten deep. That’s an over correction. It’s that we didn’t incorporate the guys we could trust wisely or enough.
