Nope, can't add minutes. Just pay the overages, if they let you go over.

If you switch from the $30 plan, you won't be able to switch back by the way.

Thats my thing, can you go over? If I have a balance of $10, will they just deduct the overage from that balance? I dont want to be on the phone and my phone just cuts off.

How many smartphone subscribers do AT&T and Verizon have combined?? 600 million

Google, APPLE and Facebook are aiming to kill SMS. Carriers will fight it. Google voice got blocked by verizon , AT&T and T-mobile from expanding. SMS and feature phones will live in the background but the future is imessage

I actually agree that a program like iMessage works and is the future of communication having a person as an universal identifiable address, but the means of that happening now or anytime soon is just too farfetch. I only use Google Talk during the work day with my fiance no one else is ever online. Facebook has an opportunity to use its user base, but nope it won't happen due to Facebook's shady past dealings in privacy people remember that and won't be forgiving.

For now SMS/MMS is here to stay trust. Maybe 5-10yrs from now it'll be a different story.
Remember BBM?:heh:

Facebook messenger broke away from Facebook. You can communicate with people on facebook without having an account. I know the SMS/MMS thing will be around but feature phone did die and Blackberry got killed. BBM was huge.
Viber is on the come up. you can make free international calls, text etc and its cross platform
Apple came and kill RIM but BBM was :blessed:

Hmmmm, seems pretty good. They use Tmo hspa+ so their speeds should be solid.

What does $40 get you? Any throttling?

$40 is technically there :flabbynsick: plan i get unlimited minutes/text/data BUT only the first 250mb of that unlimited data is 4G , the rest is 3G , which with me is fine cause like i said my phone is :flabbynsick: too so i dont really need 4G all the time

for $50 you get there :eat: plan which is same as my plan but you full 4G data all the time , they (simple mobile) say they dont throttle but they do from what i have read usually anywhere between 3-4 gigs

LOL I work for an SMSC, SMS is nowhere near dead. People aren't going to adapt any of that any time soon because there are too many platforms to crossover, people HATE facebook, and not everyone in the world has access to Data plans as unlikely as that sounds.

On top of that, some people just don't like getting random people messaging them because they're logged in the Facebook mobile app.

And the app itself is buggy. Dudes argument works against him. There's kik, ebuddy xms etc etc but you can only use them if the other person has it. Which means if I wanna talk to you and you use kik and I also wanna talk to newark, but he uses ebuddy I gotta have both apps. That's ridiculous. SMS is still the easiest way. Until Google has something universally used like imessage shyt ain't changin

That's actually good. This is rare time I needed the phone so adding a few bucks here and there works for me instead of paying for something I normally don't use.

This isn't true either. You have to maintain a facebook account to be able to use messenger. Stop with the making up of shyt please.

you may want to consider internet calling for non-essential calls. its not something you can rely on but with a good wifi connection or HSPA+ speeds its more than good enough. will help save minutes

Yeah, Ive been meaning to set up my google voice but haven't gotten to it. I was looking at GrooveIP and Vonage. I heard Vonage works for outbound calls which isn't a problem for me.
