Pretty stupid article and really does'nt say anything.
1. No one ever said you could'nt do shyt on Chrome OS. We just pointed out that in comparison to a full fledged OS and not one that AS THE ARTICLE POINTS OUT IS FOCUS ON CLOUD COMPUTING, a Chromebook can't really compare. That is fact, not opinion.
2. As for point 2 (internet connection), what we were pointing out was that the benefits being touted become pretty insignificant without one. Who the fukk cares if there's an offline mode???? EVERY fukkING PC HAS AN OFFLINE MODE. IT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE NOT ONLINE!!! AND THEN WHEN YOU GO BACK ONLINE THE WORK YOU BEEN WORKING ON SYNCS UP.
3. Again, you're asking people to pay a premium ($1300 for sub par specs) for things that you can already do via a browser on PCs. Shortening connection times to the net by 3 seconds, or shortening the time it takes to open a browser window to GTalk or even set GTalk to open on Startup is not a valid reason to go with Chrome OS.
This article was fukking pointless and you got your smug "I told you so" face on and you're looking like even more of an idiot.
