There's a running/beginnertorunning group I was apart of that ended up being too far of a trek for me during the weekdays and with my summer work hours I couldn't even make it. I'm thinking of potentially joining again, working out with people makes such a difference as I lack discipline+time necessary to be consistent.

Did you go?

Some advice. hope it helps.

1. Do you sleep well (6-8 hours per day)? If not, work on that before diet & exercise. Remember you need energy to do all these exercises and avoid injury, And abs are made in the kitchen and sculpted in the gym (I eat too much nonsense)

Advice: Try a meetup; it's usually free and allows you to see if you really want to work out.
Also, run on a treadmill in the beginning. Not advisable for long term, but it will force you to run at a certain pace. Then you can try all the other machines and YT training videos/real-life classes.

You got this.
Yea, I went. Finally.

I sleep well. I'm getting about 7-8 hours. My diet is decent, too. I've lost a lot of weight so far and it's pretty much all been due to my diet because I'm really inconsistent with working out. That's why I got this gym membership. The cheapness inside of me won't allow my laziness to win. If I'm paying for this thing monthly I will go. Lmao.

Yea, I'm gonna start off with some cardio before jumping into weights. The treadmill and stairmaster will be my new best friends. I get out of breath just thinking about it. Lawd help me.

Thanks, breh :wow: I'm determined.

Yeah I'm thinking about it, make a regular attempt to go at least once a week. They're doing some big things and have partnerships with a big brand now, too.

No.

Trust me, at minimum 3x a week (M, W, F,
or a weekend day). 30 minutes to an hour a day. Pick a routine/class YOU LIKE and build from there.

Trust me on this one.

Just found out my spin instructor is back at the gym but in the meantime I've logged 8-10 miles over the past three weekends. Swimming comes next one, finally found my gear
FYI...NYC Parks and Recreation on 135th st has an indoor Olympic-sized pool.

I started this, I'm going to try and do it twice a week and the gym. Last week I only did half and a weight training class :skip: I'm determined this week though.

If you calorie count, the lose it app is good.
