We literally are watching a what if.
A child really became a hero in a realistic context. With super close to realistic stakes.
Which is a mishmash Mashup of :

Dragon ball
Superman
With the complete charm and day to day writing that rivals what amazing Spider man used to be in print before McFarlane left with the image boys.


Somehow we need to have a conversation.
Which will be my next thread out here more than likely. I just have no concept of the source material. To give background in the manner I typically do. As I became disenchanted with all comics. somewhere in this same period. That mark's age is depicted.
When the only dream i ever really had my whole life was being in comics. To go to c9mic school and be a professional letterer and penciled by 17.
Yet comic school prepared me to be a pauper and I went to msu. So I could really make something of myself. Instead of the general pauper lifestyle of an artist.
In that Kirkman became Kirkman at image. Long after image was no longer image.
for me as a reader.
or collector. Yet the conversation needs to had about kirkman.

That are we watching the modern day best writer solidify himself right before our eyes in real time.

As kirkman and his properties. All have the charm of the comic shop worker that kirkman is/was. Where said comic shop worker has actually put distinct clear concise thought behind. Making a comic and not falling into pitfalls. That generally run away readership.

Now granted twd put the entire world in ptsd. That I don't think anyone recovered.
to handle the compound grief and death from that pivotal point in the tv series.
Yet despite the ptsd of the entire world from twd. The walking dead is still going on in tv and came to a concise close in print just recently.

In that kirkman may need to be discussed as thee guy. Right. Before our eyes in real time.

I really wish the art of Invincible was drawn by Jim lee.
Or even John Romina Sr.
As I would be more keen to have read this series in print.
Yet this series.
Is just a master class on the weird dialectics that Steve ditto would sink into. While not falling into the same pitfalls. While also not making it the main glaring central theme of rhe property. Yet carefully interwoven.
into the complexity dynamic of rhe series.

Then they go across the godamned planet and destroy a beach.

I can't even go on vacation in peace?

Then there was the fight where the cruise ship was destroyed.

This series gives people who want realism overload their issue.

Like people who refuse to suspend belief for the destruction a d devastation. That is atypically overlooked. Or a contrarian would harp on. This series does an excellent job explaining the dangers. Of what if there were superheros and super villains.
As well as the dialectic.
Oh what do you do as a normal human being .
against the collateral damage. Plus the dangers all civilians are in.

This series goes hard at the fiction property contrarian. Who wants everything so realistic. By thumb'n their eyes out and shatters their jaws.

Invincible World is more dangerous and scarier than Berserk World

That trip to Miami beach

Season was better, definitely turned up everything, pacing was better, more depth into side characters. Enjoyed the Mark vs. Cecil ideologies throughout the season. Big improvement. Liked that they added layers to Conquest instead of making him a one note big bad.

Binged the last 4 episodes. 5 & 6 were a huge missfire, there's some stuff from the comics that don't really need to be adapted when you have so few episodes each season.

7 & 8 were really good though. Loved how they did the Conquest fight

That and the 30 seconds before what's shown in the gif were best piece of animation the series has ever had.

I get doing THAT level for 40 minutes and 8 episodes is probably impossible unless you spend all the budget on the animation department (and get a dope director for it) but it's no excuse to show the mid 00's mediocrity Amazon has given us for 90% of the whole series so far.

I wont be convinced there isn't a happy medium were you can get the quality of a WIT or Ufotable + good working conditions for animators when you have the kind of money Amazon has.
