I've only listened to this once so I won't rate FNO just yet.

Me personally, V6 has a SLIGHT edge, (prolly cuz I got outta prison right before the summertime -- I'll explain later) then it's Cold Corner 2, then V5.

The lyrics are there throughout all these tapes, but V6 is more polished, refined & up-to-date flow, stylin Banks. :stylin:

Cold Corner 2 is just what it sounds like. More cold, introspective, gritty Banks. :wow:

V5 is less polished, still lyrical...but at a point where Banks was still finding himself "swag" wise, if that makes sense. This was more of a mixtape's mixtape. Less of an album feel like the other two and FNO. :blessed:

To me, V6 and CC2 are tied, but I kept more songs off of V6. Let me put it like this...if it's summertime or you in a more upbeat mood, you wanna rock with V6. If you brooding, it's Timbo season and you wanna spark one and think, throw on that CC2. V5 like a combination of both. You're a CaC though, so you probably wanna start with "Keep Your Cool" on CC2, cuz I can definitely see you on some :cape: shyt :umad:

V6 and CC2 are not tied, V6 worst Banks mixtape, CC2>>>>V6

V5, CC2, V6, FNO

To me, Banks gets better and better. I remember saying after he announced V6 he couldn't top CC2 but the mixtape really grew on me.

To be honest, V5 had the best punchlines but it didn't strike me as album quality like the next three.

FNO got better punchlines than CC2 and V6 though :to:

I forgot what song it was but he said somethin like:

"Streets swinging like freak couples" haaa :whew:

That's fukkin wild man, that same exact punchline stood out to me. because he hasn't done the same punchline style he used to, so when he did, it stood out. Didn't he say Raekwon influenced him to move away from his older style?

Yeah he said Raekwon made him want to do more storytelling. Remember when he dropped Love Me In The Hood? Just to show he can still do the punchline shyt for days.

What song exactly was that swinging line though?

the crazy thing is you ask people to rate his tapes but there are so many different opinions, it depends on the person and what they like. I like CC2 but sooo many people thought V5 was his best one til V6 came out. I dont know. I guess I am gonna have to listen to them each all over again and see which one I personally favor...right now though, this FNO is my kinda shyt.

CC2 is def better than V6 no doubt. and I think that V5 is better than V6 too. I liked V6, i don't think it's his worst mixtape, but probably ranks last since the 5 and Better series began IMO. Which is crazy because it's actually pretty dope lol. That's how good this nikka is. I just want banks to get his props so as long as ppl are bumpin his shyt i could care less about a ranking

Too many quoteables :wow:

One man attack force, the 9th wonder
8 other planets past Ross
You wore a badge boss

It's all lies, he's gonna call cops
You ain't an MC, you a fat bytch
I get you swissed cheese from mac clips
Nose dives, taking more knees than backflips
All over rap shyt
And the whole crew at the same time
I'm calm, alley-oop when it's game time
And I ain't even in my prime

Please dont tell me its not on Itunes come on man even my brother puts his music on Itunes nah I cant believe in an apple world nyggas would shoot themselves in the foot like that

Right?:to:

Maybe they didnt want to clear the samples? not sure really, but just seems unlikely that they never thought 'instant revenue stream' so got to assume they did it for some reason

For me it's

Cc2
V6
V5

But it switches depending on my mood.

But this here :wow: all on it's own. This shouldn't even be out for free to be honest.

This is why Banks is my favorite rapper, always has & always will be.
I can legit relate to his music. I'm not like others, I was brought up different taught to view life differently and for what it really is because time isn't on your side like most think so just live life and fukk the small shyt go out and do what you gotta do to live & be happy on your terms. So those gritty tone songs resonate with me more, those hard on hoes songs are right up my alley. Songs like Open Arms, Reminder, No Love, Mind on Murder, When I Was Down, Rise From The Dirt, Probably Want Me Down, Keep Your Cool, Sooner or Later, Keep Up, Lead The Blind, You Wish, Chosen Few, Show & Prove, Rather Be Me, The First Me. Dear Father, Without You, Time To Chill and that's just off the top of my head, are songs that I feel are not only incredibly dope but speak my language so it becomes my soundtrack if that makes any sense. Makes me appreciate his music because I can sit there and be like of sho this is how I feel at the moment so let me go thru his catalogue and put some background music to another day of life.

Then my nikka has a strong playa catalogue you can just vibe to it that has you where you gotta be when it comes to these hoes.

Black Superman
Whip p*ssy
Lead the Blind
Keep Up
Keep Your Cool
Love Shots
Tour Stories
It's Going Down
Joke's on You
Can She Live?
One Night Stand
Need to Be 1
I Get Around
Play House
Life Goes On
New Pu$$y
Have It All
My Girl
Hate You More
Everything You Got
Get It How I Live

& I'm missing a few more but point is Banks doesn't disappoint he got plenty of dope music. It's crazy how he keeps improving. Like the nikka hasn't peaked yet. :wow:

Bout time ppl actually listening to dude and no one's complaining about his voice

Ever since he's been distant from G-Unit its like more ppl givin him a chance and are actually impressed

Dude just needs to drop videos to add to the momentum.. kill a couple more features and there we go

I'm surprised he hasn't been in a BET cypher yet
