Adolescence is an interesting show. Each episode is shot in real time. There's no traditional scene cuts and you don't really get too much background on the characters outside of the dialog.

It starts off with a 13 year old being arrested for murder and follows the ride to the police station to getting booked, to being interrogated

They could've added 1 more episode. That's my only complaint. You see so many news stories about minors being arrested for murder and it was fascinating that angle of the whole process.
