6hrs to go:whew:

Anyone with trouble focusing/feeling hunger, I have noticed getting up and moving around for a few minutes can help you feel better. Something about getting the blood flow/heart rate up.:myman:

not trying be funny but the people in alaska have to miserable, this time of year its 24 hour day light i was up there for 2 yrs :whoo:

In areas like that, they usually fast with their closest neighbor country/region that has more normal/reasonable sunset/sunrise times.

Wow lol how did I miss this thread? I guess the similar thread finding function ain't working correctly.... but hey at least i tried.

I've been moving this weekend so no internet so obviously haven't been on the coli like that,

Last year i had to move in the middle of ramadan and it was rough this year thankfully getting some reprieve from work at least.

This thread has really brightened my mood, didn't realize so many muslims brehs and brehettes were here.

Never give up never surrender brehs even if you aren't able to make it one day keep trying the blessing is in the struggle.

Having grown up muslim I've been fasting my whole life it seems so I can see where people come from when they say the physical part is easy, but my wife converted a few years ago and I can tell it's very hard for her especially since it's been during the summer and she always has to work. So it's wise not to downplay the physical aspect.

As for me I have some very modest goals for ramadan

No bad language, cursing, racial epithets
Mind my temper
Read some quran every day
all my prayers on time
better concentration during prayer
no music
no more wandering eyes :sadcam: this is going to be tough it's sundress season
more mindfulness of Allah through out the day

Lol I need to make a ramadan app with achievements like "iron man" for not missing a day, "first of many" for the first fast and reminders for suhoor and iftaar if only i bothered to learn to code
.
this is actually a really great idea man

I set the same goals I am trying to stop swearing for the month

and i dont wanna miss any prayers too

:obama: let me know if you make that app breh :salute:

Wondering if people in my family who are Muslim are celebrating?
most likely

ramadan seems tough but every muslim I know loves it, its indescribable how nice and content you feel during this month despite not eating or drinking

there's something about it that just puts you at ease man I love this month and every muslim I know says ramadan is their favorite time of the year

i appreciate the support in this thread and the other group:salute: even though i'm not muslim
i'm a spiritualist and anything that is about peace, being a better person, and getting stronger in all aspects i'm for so i'm fasting with all ya'll

peace be to you all

Wow, thanks bro! That means a lot. May the days be easy on you. And, may your fasting be acccepted. Its the thought that counts and God will see your effort. Btw, do you know by what time you can eat and drink and when you cant? And, the fasting hours vary for everybody. Its based on where you live.
