ive been saying these top tier dudes that didnt want to do this are delusional like nobody cares you get ten racks for a battle (Clips, Goodz) youre basically nobody in the mainstream and youre gonna turn down a show on TV run by Eminem and Slaughtahouse? You prob never gonna get a better look in your life. Daylyt is the smartest niggga in battle rap. shyt even turning down UFF is dumb. nigggaz got big heads

Let's not get too excited with the "I can't believe anyone passed this up" until we see the show.
We don't know that the show has the battle rappers best interests at heart. From what we do know, it features a bunch of grown men bunking up for a tournament that consisted of 90 second battles. How much respect do you think the people putting together the show really have for these dudes? You see what they did with the promo for the Budden v. Hollow battle. Of course I want to see the show, but I'm going to blindly dikkride anything with Eminem's name attached.

when something blows up its never off of skill its always some dumbed down shyt, if this show makes anything its cause of the "reality" portion, the battles right now are an afterthought to building up the stories of the characters in the house, day supposedly getting his own spinoff so right there the chance at that was worth it alone, again what are these nikkaz doing now? yall shyt on joe budden talking about hes not successful but these nikkaz are ? its not about dikkriding its about opportunity.

then you got people with no name turning down UFF like Wavy and Big K, the whole original point of battling in leagues was exposure and dudes are turning down much bigger promotion compared to some youtube shyt with 3 million views for the top battles when some random pranks get like 25mill plus views routinely.

When you say "what are they doing now" it is dikkriding to an extent. Have you ever watched reality TV shows that revolve around music artists or music industry people? How many of them have gone on to actually become more successful musicians? On the flipside, how many of them come off looking bad and have ruined their images? They chop a whole day down to like 25 minutes and you have zero control over how you are portrayed. The only person safe on that show is Daylyt, because he's a walking spectacle. After that maybe Diz, because he's already known to be a bit erratic.
Also the whole idea that "battles are an afterthought" just shows how brainwashed you are, the battles could never be an afterthought. You could be the coolest person in the house, but if you get washed in your 90 second battle you think the fans will remember you fondly?
It would have been dumb for guys like Clips, Hitman, Surf, Calicoe, Goodz & DNA to be in the house for the 1st season. Better to sit back and see if it's worthwhile, because if this does well another season will be filmed later this year.

WTF some people actually enjoy battling in certain formats or in front of certain types of crowds. This is the BATTLE ZONE this isn't the where the Armchair A&R nikkas convene. But fukk it, let's talk business for a second.
I don't think Mr. Wavy fits the UFF format, plus they are still ironing out the kinks in that system. Were the season 2 battles actually of a higher quality than the 1st season? How much have the UFF guys benefited from that exposure really? None of the guys from UFF season 2 were on NOME4. The only person from UFF season 1 who appeared on NOME4 was the champ (Ill Will). Are any of them going to be on the SM4 card? And why doesn't Ill Will have some sort of title belt or chain that signifies his status as champ? The cross promotion could be a bit stronger imo. Bigg K would have done well on UFF but he doesn't have a good relationship with URL. It's understandable imo the business gotta be right before you jump out there.

nah Im a big battle fan imo the battles will be wack on the show but point is its stlll a good look which was supposedly the original point

wavy was supposed to be there instead of ha double i think wavy is actually versatile i think he wouldve done well, big k the start of their bad relationship was pretty much him turning down UFF, No they didnt benefit yet from it but the opportunity was there, I mean Clips could go there and win 3 battles off freestyling shyt even DNA if it was vs these PGs and get some exposure, its kind of divaish to me

day seized the opportunity imo it was there, i dont think it will but what if the first season blows up and now people like day in the mainstream rap battle world become bigger than the current top tiers just cause they were seen first.

and im not brainwashed i know its bs but like i said everything that blows up gets watered down "dumb down my lyrics to double my dollars" im just talking these dudes did not turn it down on some we respect the culture too much bs, they all greedy so they turned it down on some diva shyt and they ant nobody to be doing that

also these dudes dont have an "image" to protect theyre unknown in the mainstream, the artist youre talking about are usually established. its the same reason juelz is sponsoring that pyramid scheme, he got no buzz to protect, you wont see jayz endorsing it cause he does.

also nobody blew up on UFF cause none of them are stars except maybe not coincidentally the winner Ill Will, you dont know what happens if clips goes up there and freestyles and wins three battles, hes got more of the it factor maybe he does get smtg out of it. even if its unlikely its better than any other look theyre getting right now

Hey if the Total Slaughter show ends up being a good look for most of the battlers involved I will be pretty happy. Unfortunately that type of thing is unprecedented in the world of reality TV, so I'm going to wait and see.

How can we call Clips & DNA divas when we don't know the terms of the contracts they would be signing to participate in UFF? Ill Will & many of the Season 2 battlers signed contracts with Smack URL. That caused Ill Will to cancel multiple battles this year. DNA & Charlie Clips aren't interested in being tethered to Smack/URL at all. They are already making decent middle class salaries off of battling worldwide.
