day seized the opportunity imo it was there, i dont think it will but what if the first season blows up and now people like day in the mainstream rap battle world become bigger than the current top tiers just cause they were seen first.
and im not brainwashed i know its bs but like i said everything that blows up gets watered down "dumb down my lyrics to double my dollars" im just talking these dudes did not turn it down on some we respect the culture too much bs, they all greedy so they turned it down on some diva shyt and they ant nobody to be doing that
also these dudes dont have an "image" to protect theyre unknown in the mainstream, the artist youre talking about are usually established. its the same reason juelz is sponsoring that pyramid scheme, he got no buzz to protect, you wont see jayz endorsing it cause he does.
They absolutely do have an image to protect because the people I listed are getting paid from 5-10k for EACH battle. They are paying their bills with this shyt, and yes they have achieved a certain level of celebrity at this point. Battle rap is reaching a point where it's independent from mainstream hip-hop. If you have a good thing going, why mess it up by putting your future in the hands of an unknown? As far as battle rap goes, Total Slaughter is an unknown. If these guys don't want to deal with the prospect of Daylyt pissing in their apple juice, I ain't mad at em.
