day seized the opportunity imo it was there, i dont think it will but what if the first season blows up and now people like day in the mainstream rap battle world become bigger than the current top tiers just cause they were seen first.

and im not brainwashed i know its bs but like i said everything that blows up gets watered down "dumb down my lyrics to double my dollars" im just talking these dudes did not turn it down on some we respect the culture too much bs, they all greedy so they turned it down on some diva shyt and they ant nobody to be doing that

also these dudes dont have an "image" to protect theyre unknown in the mainstream, the artist youre talking about are usually established. its the same reason juelz is sponsoring that pyramid scheme, he got no buzz to protect, you wont see jayz endorsing it cause he does.

They absolutely do have an image to protect because the people I listed are getting paid from 5-10k for EACH battle. They are paying their bills with this shyt, and yes they have achieved a certain level of celebrity at this point. Battle rap is reaching a point where it's independent from mainstream hip-hop. If you have a good thing going, why mess it up by putting your future in the hands of an unknown? As far as battle rap goes, Total Slaughter is an unknown. If these guys don't want to deal with the prospect of Daylyt pissing in their apple juice, I ain't mad at em.

Hey if the Total Slaughter show ends up being a good look for most of the battlers involved I will be pretty happy. Unfortunately that type of thing is unprecedented in the world of reality TV, so I'm going to wait and see.

How can we call Clips & DNA divas when we don't know the terms of the contracts they would be signing to participate in UFF? Ill Will & many of the Season 2 battlers signed contracts with Smack URL. That caused Ill Will to cancel multiple battles this year. DNA & Charlie Clips aren't interested in being tethered to Smack/URL at all. They are already making decent middle class salaries off of battling worldwide.
i have mixed thoughts cause if it does blow up it prob will water down battle rap but i wouldnt mind seeing the battlers get paid

do they have big names? i really think its all bs the whole dott mobb has done shyt that supposedly should kill their careers, or even mainstream rap rick ross is co, nobody cares in a few days, if youre popular you get away with it

Let's not get too excited with the "I can't believe anyone passed this up" until we see the show.
We don't know that the show has the battle rappers best interests at heart. From what we do know, it features a bunch of grown men bunking up for a tournament that consisted of 90 second battles. How much respect do you think the people putting together the show really have for these dudes? You see what they did with the promo for the Budden v. Hollow battle. Of course I want to see the show, but I'm going to blindly dikkride anything with Eminem's name attached.
we definitely went back and edited everything to make sure that the rappers don't look wack, and we focused on bars over the nonsense. We can't control the 90 second rounds. That was the contestants collective choice.

Is the series planned to be a one off or will there likely be multiple seasons and tournaments?

?? Hollow had alot of hot bars, Lux is just more advanced as a writer. And we aren't trying to make the argument that Daylyt getting nekkid in battles is part of an angle, are we?

Goodz is wild for turning this down, you tryna get on with ya music but pass up on the biggest look you'll get.
goodz and clips could've stole the show easily and come up MAJORLY from the exposure, just think brehs, the random roast sessions, random freestyle ciphers :ahh::blessed: they shoulda been on this shyt :upsetfavre:

and why the hell would they wait to get on TV to confront day about the antic shyt :beli: the preview alone makin them look dysfunctional as hell, i wanna see how that convo even started, lux bein on some preachy shyt to day but the other 7 rappers in the room spit 98% gun bars :camby:

and are the episodes an hour long? cuz my tv guide is tellin me they're gonna show the same 30 minute episode back to back, doesn't make sense imo
