So let’s be real here:

Putting aside doping allegations about UAE or Visma, can we agree that Visma has no tactics at all? Their whole strategy is basically = stay close to Pogacar and hope he gets tired.

Pogi never shows any weakness at all.

In every stage Pogi is with them until the last climb or sprint.

If you think you’re gonna try to gain time by attacking on the last climb of a stage, dude you’re fukkin 4 mins behind. MAYBE you gain 5 seconds if Pogi decides not to win a stage?

What’s the point? Visma is just scared to go for it because they are more afraid of losing 2nd place than they are hungry for 1st place.

There's not much they can do, UAE is stronger than them this year. Their strategy is supposed to hassle Pogi with attacks like they did 3 years ago but the UAE domestiques are better than Visma's so Visma's end up cracking before UAE smh.

Tim Wellens is currently 45th in the GC of this tour.
In 2024 he finished 80th.

Pretty surprising for a 34 year old rider.
