The democrats for the most part aren’t advocating for Trump to invade Iran, they’re allowing him to make the decision on his own and deal with the political blowback that comes with it.
This all ignores the fact the democrats literally have no power in any of this anyway. If Trump wants to keep bustin it open for bibi he will. Whether the dems are stoking outrage for likes on IG or not.
It’s a lose/lose situation for Trump. If Trump stays out of it and Israel gets fukked by Iran then he’ll be seen as a coward by the evangelical portion of his base. if he goes to war he’ll be seen as bush 2.0 and turn off independents and the anti war portion of MAGA.

The Democrats can't save/stop Trump from whatever decision he takes anyway. They don't have the cards. What they can do is make sure they're correctly positioned to get credit for being a suitable, legitimate alternative. Sitting on your hands doesn't do that. It actually blunts the blowback Trump will receive because he can turn around and say "well everyone agreed with me, the Democrats would have done the same thing". As the opposition party, it is the job of the Democrats to showcase why they would be the better choice next time power is up for democratic assignment. That means letting people know why the incumbent party is doing a shytty job, and how you would do a better job. Democrats are just disappearing and assuming people will fill the anti-Trump space with the Democratic ghost instead of the couch, which is a fatal assumption.
