That 3 on 3 is wild. Like a fast break every time up the ice. Basically it was just whatever team blinked first.

Because there is so many room/space in 3 on 3 overtime. Skaters have so much time and space to make plays and speed makes the difference as fast breaks, rushes, transition offense, turnovers, and 2 on 1 happen often. It’s more free flowing and open


5 on 5 hockey is a slower battle of physical attrition. You have to work hard to gain puck possession and you have to fight for every inch of ice. Lots of puck battles along the boards and deep in the corners, not much time, space, and room to make plays because there’s 2 more forwards and 2 more defensemen unlike in 3 on 3 overtime where each team has 2 forwards and 1 defenseman back on the ice.
