I still don't believe it's a conflict of interest. There is no exclusivity agreement the players are currently bound to, so after the season is over they are all free to play elsewhere. Playing for Unrivaled is no different than playing overseas.
....of course the WNBA can fix this situation rather quickly by guaranteeing the players a bigger cut of the revenue. Then they would be able to enforce an exclusivity clause and wouldn't have to worry about players going to Unrivaled (or playing overseas).
It's absolutely a conflict of interest. But any player willing to go against it or call it out would be hurting the players' cause. Cathy and the owners want Unrivaled to go away or at the very least not employ current WNBA players.
