Do you think Phee has a conflict of interest because of Unrivaled??

Of course, which is why she should have stepped down as Player President long ago. It's a conflict of interest for any of them that play in Unrivaled or have a vested interest in it.

They have public support on their side, so it won't be called it, but behind the scenes it should for players that won't be able to play in Unrivaled or have that backup plan as they can't accept everybody.
I'm not sure I'd call this a conflict of interest. Now if Phee worked in NBA management while also being an officer in the players union then imo that would be a conflict of interest. Unrivaled and any other outside work opportunities they take advantage of during the lockout is just the players exercising their options.

Yea nobody in the mainstream media has really brought that up
The NBA and by extension the WNBA have been pretending that Unrivaled doesn't exist. The players should absolutely use Unrivaled (and any overseas opportunities) as leverage. The WNBA could easily end any issues with players working for outside entities by offering them a high enough salary where they could add some exclusivity into the player contracts. Right now, because pay is so low, it doesn't make sense for the players to even sign such a deal.

she wasn't gonna be around for any of this shyt

hell she could've been gone last year fr

You can tell a lot of people in the W had no idea that the uptick in popularity was coming, even pre-CC. Between how they operate in the media, on the court, off the court, etc, a lot of personal feelings getting mixed in and it's clouding their judgement.

What's the difference between between athletes unlimited and unrivaled

Nikkas have no rap for AU

:mjlol:
It came out during the All-Star break that the players not working in AU and Unrivaled is one of WNBA's demands.

Another thing that needs to be brought it up it is that why is okay for a 19 year foreigner like Malonga to play in the WNBA but a pro ready 19 year old American can't. The UConn Mafia, college basketball fans, and the vets are going to avoid that topic like the plague.

If I were a contrarian, don't the euros play professionally as teens and you can't do that in the states...playing professionally and actually being good shows you're ready for the W

I actually think the women's game should adopt a 3 yr rule before college players become draft eligible

Maya Moore should've been drafted in 2010 instead of 2011...Stewie should've been drafted in 2015 instead of 2016

I wonder why it's not ok to play in unrivaled or AU but it's ok to play in Russia and Europe during the W offseason

Doesn't matter if the relationship is beyond repair. Both have an obligation to the league and players to figure it out even if it means Engelbert leaving after.

Engelbert was never going to admit that the reporting was true for obvious reasons.

Yea that's another thing Cathy either was going to lie or admit to everything.

Phee did unveiled a private conservation. Unless Phee has proof Cathy was going to deny

From the New York Times Oct. 3rd OpEd piece on the WNBA:

The big takeaways here are that the WNBA players are only getting around a 7% split in league revenue while their male NBA counterparts negotiated a 50% split of all "basketball related income".

The WNBA players need to force the league to open the books and negotiate a higher split of league revenue.

Yup, the sh-ts crazy. It's a byproduct of how successful the league has been the last couple years. League revenues shot up but the relative pay levels stayed the same so the players ended up getting a smaller piece of the pie. That's why the players been on one since the allstar break.

They got the union to do it.

All chairs are high-tier players who have been paid the max contracts at one point or another.
