Altho I think OKC still wins this in less than 7, you gotta acknowledge what @Regular_P been emphasizing all season… which is that OKC should have cashed out some resources on one of those 6’8/6’9 wings like ol buddy from Brooklyn

Indy is the first team all playoff series to “force” OKC to downsize completely (both bigs on the bench) and Siakam is the first unique player that they can’t matchup with when downsized

Part of it is Chet just has to play better so that they don’t downsize but it was glaring nonetheless

Not really surprised by the L not concerned either, I blame the following

Chet
Mark
Jdub

In that order. Mark flat out had some teeeible rotations and went to shai way too late in the 4th. Indiana doesn't let up you can't just play backups and expect to win against their starters. Also 4 guards sucked playing no big down the stretch was flat out stupid. Doesn't matter how bad chet was on offense his defense was rim deference. Mark over coached that game this is the result. Reminds me of denver game 1 except team more gave this one away then how denver took it

starters were sa positive, 5.9 NRtg in 16 minutes. Our super small ball was -31.3 in 7 minutes with a DREB% of 33.3

No reason a big should not be on the court , we got killed on the boards in the 2nd half too cute with lineups

gonna be honest, still can't believe that happened. I was trusting Carlisle with a 3-day break between games to come out game 2 with the adjustments like batman with prep time, and he prolly will

but to go from a 20 turnover half to a 4 turnover half and scrape out a dub in game 1? They adjusted fast as shyt. And now they get to adjust even more to what the Thunder were doing? Man.

4-0 in game 1 for the Pacers this year, with the chance to go 4-0 in game 2's this year cooking up too. :wow:

knew Obi would be the X-Factor, we'll see if this keeps up. Good team effort with the highest scorer having 19

Shít like this is why I don't worry about who is and who isn't an all-star.

I'll take clutchness on a stage such as the playoffs from a "fake all-star" over stats any day. He had 14 pts:wow:

I think folks can't fathom it because he has done this multiple times in a single playoffs, but he's not viewed as a scorer/superstar.

And the guts he has to take these shots. Your PASS 1ST point guard. Just look at them. The drive to the basket vs Bucks, the stepback 3 vs Cavs, the stepback long 2 vs Knicks, and now the middie vs Thunder. We not even counting the 4pt play vs Bucks in the regular season:damn:
