Tbh, who even are the top 10 in the league? bc once you get past the 5 undeniables (Jokic, Shai, Giannis, Luka, Wemby), the next 5 could be any of 15+ guys depending on what you’re prioritizing. (Stats, availability, past performance, playoff performance, etc)

i.e. Do we omit guys like Embiid, Kawhi, Davis who are always injured?

Brunson for all his flaws essentially matched/ outclutched Tatum, and did the same to Embiid last year. Hali matched/bested him and Donovan this year tho. Ant got outplayed by Shai but Ant also outplayed a 35-year old KD and prime Booker last playoffs, then matched or bested prime Luka and 40-year old LeBron in these playoffs.

Hali is a 6’5 Steve Nash type and I mentioned before his team kinda reminds me of the ‘06 Suns (the one w/o Amare). So assessing him in a league with a plethora of 6’1-6’3 scoring “point” guards (Brunson, Mitch, Curry, Dame, Kyrie, Ja, Trae, Maxey, Fox, etc.) that play fundamentally different than him is tricky.

I'd omit Luka. Think argument could be made Wemby shouldnt be there either as he hasn't had the success. Think Tatum probably belongs.

Absolutely.

Locks
Jokic
Shai
Giannis
Tatum (obviously this depends how he returns from injury)
Curry (he's a bytch but it is what it is)

The rest
Luka?
Edwards?
Wemby?

Bubble
Hali?
Brunson?
Cade?

OKC in 6. Games 1, 3, and 6 have high blowout potential.

Indy won't go quietly, but the Thunder just look too strong and too overwhelming defensively.

Hot take inbound: I don't think a player should legitimately be considered the best player in the world if they aren't at least average, competent or schematically effective at the end of the floor where their strength doesn't lie.
