I'll see you brehs tomorrow. No one cares about these moral victory thoughts but I think we should be encouraged that we lost this game on crazy Lillard 3-pt shooting and missed jumpers coming off of good sets. I don't anticipate if we keep running the same system Miller is running, that we'll continue to miss the shots we were missing tonight...and that will lead to better nights than tonight. Hopefully.

I'm gonna need Miller to shorten up this rotation though. No reason DSJR should be first PG off the bench. Also, he should be making Frank & Mitch a tandem that gets significant minutes together and running a specific defensive system with them in mind. Will be watching to see what he does tonight

I only watched the first half because these western conference games end too damned late for me to stay up, but the impression I got was that this is audition time. He hasn't had time to install much, so it's been a lot of simplification and just seeing how different players run the basics. I'd guess we see the broader changes (rotation tightens up and playbook expands a bit) at the end of the west coast trip. He'll have more time to install things and get guys comfortable.

DSJ is the most obvious one to lose his role. I could see Trier getting a rotation spot too, but he's gotta be better on defense to justify that even with his offensive game rounding to form. I assumed everyone's hands were tied on Randle during Fizdale's run, I'm gonna guess the same for Miller but...switching Randle to the bench and shifting Morris to the 4 would benefit everybody. Mitch and Taj swap places, Randle moves to a sixth man role and Knox or Dot takes the starting role so that spacing is fixed...that's my dream scenario but one I don't think any coach will be allowed to do until a new regime is installed at the top (and I think that'll wait until the offseason if I'm guessing).

how many ass whippings will it take for you to see da light man? lol
What is the light exactly? It seems we keep switching up what the argument is.

Is it that Fizdale actually was a good coach? If so then, I will never see the light. In 2 losses, Miller has done more to give this team structure and put his primary rotation players in positions to succeed better than Fizdale ever has. That was the bare minimum I ever asked of Fizdale and he failed to meet the bar

Is it that this is a bad team? If so, I never disputed that fact. I've never in one post stated that this was even an average team

Is it that this is the worst team in franchise history? Yeah, go ahead and prove that.

You guys jumping on this game as if it's evidence of something. As if I said, as soon as the Knicks switch coaches that they'll be a completely different team. This team is obviously going to take time getting used to Mike Miller's system even though it is basically systemic quirks being included into things they already know. If they consistently look this bad over the next 20 games then we'll probably all be on the same page. But that will be because we (hopefully) have a coach that actually has put the team in a position for us to fairly judge what we have.

As far as last night's game goes, our best and most consistent 3 pt shooter went 1-6 from 3. Our least consistent shooter in the starting lineup was the only other starter to actually hit a 3. RJ had 5 points on 9 shots. I think it's fair to say the team played below their norms.

my whole point from the beginning was this team sucks and no coach could save them. ppl took that like i was capin for fizdale. no, i had a issue with mills and perry holding a press conference essentially sayin this team is good but just isnt being coached properly.
I don't think any person has ever said this....not even Mills and Perry

Fizdale should have been fired, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a bad roster fit wise. Poor spacing because of no shooters, this is what we get.
No one's ever disagreed with this. Don't know why we keep bringing it up.

This also isn't the only roster in the league with poor fits

this sentiment was shared by some people in this thread and i disagree. firing him or not firing him doesnt really matter at this point, its not gonna effect anything.

first 2 games with miller and we lost 2 games in da same manner i seen us lose with fizz. 1 close game where we made a mini comeback but came up short cause of little mistakes and missed freethrows( fiz has like 6 games like that)

and one a blowout loss from a superior team ( fiz has 2 or 3 of those)

people in here are gettin excited because we run a few more plays with miller lol and thats fine, but the result is still gonna be the same.

it honestly made more sense to keep fizz for the rest of da year and fire everyone at once when da season is over. the team has taken a liken to him on a personal level and they play hard for him more times than not.

it also looks bad from a stability perspective., by da time rj starts his second season, he would of had 3 different coaches. whole thing is just a mess

If we lose every game with Miller but you can see a semblance of an established system that maximizes the poor talent we have then I’m not mad at that. Fiz had a year and a half to do that and didn’t, which leads us to believe he doesn’t have the capability to do such a thing. We can’t tread water and wait for a savior. We have actually build something. He didn’t do that.

I asked you to tell me one thing Fizdale did as coach. You have never answered me. I'm still waiting
