I don't see the point of trading Morris for a low 1st rounder. What we gonna get with that? Potential? A tall, 200 lb power forward we gotta wait 3-5 years to see if he shows decent potential? We can use our own picks for that AND keep an established, solid player in his prime. Oh but it becomes an asset you say? Flipped in another deal? What deal is a low 1st rounder moving the needle on? When has throwing in the 27th pick gotta deal done that was apparently dead?
And then some of you have the nerve to say we could just re-sign him in the offseason. Cuz yeah he'd do that. What about next season would change where he wouldn't be the exact same type asset again? Flipped for picks. I wouldn't return if I was him.
That said, the only players untouchable to me are RJ and Mitch. And Mitch can be had for the right deal. shyt so can RJ.
I'm sure some of you are confused. "You just said don't trade Morris". I said not for some rinky dink low 1st rounder. Package em with something and get something tangible if you must.
I hope no family tragedy has befallen poor Julius. I hope they called him in to tell him it's a good idea to start looking for apartments in Minnesota.
