Why would the knicks do them a favor? Oubre is on a bad contract by default. If he was good the Suns wouldn’t be looking to move him, let alone not play him during that 8 game run when they were trying to sneak into the playoffs. Why are the Knicks then moving down two spots for Oubre? He’s probably not in their long term plans, and isn’t even a Thibs type of player.

Keep in mind, it’s not even you who I am looking for the answer for on that. It would be something I would look at Leon Rose funny for doing.

The way I see it the whole world had to get messed up for the knicks to be in an advantageous position. Cap space is really valuable. Take full advantage of it.

yea, a couple of weeks ago i thought the rumor was that the Suns were dangling 10 to get rid of Oubre so they can create more cap space, not to move up on the draft.

More rumors, this is the second time I've seen this dude mentioned. I won't pretend to know a whole ton about him but after some looking back, I do recall this guy being good in FIBA play. Maybe a Priggy Smalls for the new era? The ball handling, touch and clever passing all fit that bill...

Chill, Frank money from the free throw line.
He was at 72% and 76% from the line rookie and sophomore seasons.

86% last season on a whopping 1 attempt per game. It’s yet to be known if that’s an outlier or something that would translate with more attempts and in meaningful moments.

Let’s not do that :hubie:

That’s been a rumor for a while. The big holdup is that his buyout is problematic

$14M for Oubre is not a bad contract.

Suns were 8-0 in the bubble because D-Book became ‘06 Kobe Bryant.

Oubre got flaws but he’s young, versatile, and athletic. U overthinking it if you don’t want a 24 year old guy who averaged 19/6.5 last season.
He doesn’t really fit what I woujd imagine thibs is doing and he likes to attack the basket with Phoenix doesn’t he ? That’s RJs domain . Also we don’t need another young guy who is trying to figure it out and Phoenix didn’t play him during the most important stretch so clearly their is some issue with him he will want a chance to earn his next contract as well ..That’s why I’m ok with FVV he fits a need and has a defined role which can be tailored .

Just to clarify, Oubre wasn’t benched during their bubble stretch

pretty sure he was injured and was still rehabbing :yeshrug:

Not sure I would do that trade tho

I’ll drive to Phoenix and pick up oubre myself if they include the 10th pick in a trade that doesn’t involve swapping picks.

You can do a lot with the 8th and 10th pick. The 8th can be the best available player and the 10th pick can be a reach like cole

I would do that too, but a pick swap is just a bad trade when it’s clear they want to move on from Oubre.

Nah I am pretty sure he was good at the end and they still sat him out.

2020 NBA Mock Draft: 3 Trades That Would Turn Lottery Upside-Down

Fam I found it...a Mock Draft I like! Knicks 8 to Boston for 14, 26 and Tremont Waters.
They land Kira at 14...enough said.

At 26 Wass has them taking Leandro Bolmaro the consensus second best Euro in the draft and a promising wing. I've seen a few heads rate him over Deni though I disagree and think it's mostly people down on Deni as a prospect. But he's cool because he'd probably be a draft and stash guy that they can let spend another year developing overseas.

27 goes to Jahmius Ramsey...Nice upside play with spacing to offer, although I personally take Desmond Bane here.

He doesn't show the second round but in this scenario, my eyes would be on Killian Tillie first and foremost. First round talent, floor stretching 4 with solid defensive effort but he's been injury prone which is why he might be available. I'd also take a flier on Grant Riller though we'd be setting up a bit of a logjam. Riller's offensive numbers are insane and his game is super polished but he's an older prospect (23) from a mid-major and he's another PG.

Wouldn’t be mad at this at all... we couldn’t squeeze Langford out of them could we?
