No Vasline they were all handed an L on wax. There still is no record quite like it because it was 1 vs a whole crew.

He (Eazy) got Dre on Real Muhfukkin Gz though. He won that back and forth.

Dre took a lyrical ass whopping twice and still ended up doing better than Cube/Eazy :yeshrug:
No Vaseline is a tad overrated to me:manny:

Tracks like Dollarz and sense, real muthaphukkin gz, and bytch in Yoo >>>

You of course are entitled to your opinion, I can't tell you that you are wrong.....all of those are great songs.....

But Ice Cube broke off the most successful rap group, they were coming off big records, and he pretty much took out the whole crew himself. The impact was massive. Most people outside of LA could have cared less about MC Eiht vs Quik....Real Muhfukkin Gz was a big record but a lot of damage had already been done....Cube and No Vaseline is what kicked off Dre leaving because he felt like he was getting jerked...which led to the disses the begin with....

It's had a huge impact and a lot of influence. 15+ years later you have people like Game trying to emulate it.

Eric had nothing for Cube and No Vaseline. He had to eat that. Also, back then since Dre had all the backing, Eric was looked at as the loser there, but in hindsight he handed Dre, Snoop and them a major L.
:martin: Ren and Co never got a legit chance to respond. Those cats werent together much long after that. Basically a missle fired at an already sinking ship. Ren and the DOCs pen would have served Cube Imo.

I feel ya, back then I was like :gladbron::krs::whew:, caught off guard even . But listening to it later in life is not that impressive anymore. Cube didn't say too much, besides coming off angry and cursing:manny:. I understand all diss tracks don't have to be lyrical, but the ones I mentioned have that perfect mix of personal and lyrical attack.

Ya I never got into no vasoline. The beat was kinda corny. Not gonna lie the movie kinda made me hate cube to

You can't fade the E

This is what his rep looked like after those records

His group was bigger than Dre & Snoop and he dropped better disses

Bone was not bigger then Snoop. You are nuts. Every 10 year old white boy thought they were snoop

I don't think it's the goat diss track but it was vicious . I'd put that over no Vaseline. That's actually one track I didn't respect too much back then (Biggie fan, I just wanted breh to respond:sadcam:) but have come around to afterwards. To me it fits in the mold of the tracks I mentioned above, there were some technical skills showed along with the personals.

I don't think Pac's verse was all that technical and all the hardest lines were pretty basic, I wouldn't call them clever punch lines like you heard in those other songs (left out the G cuz the G aint in you, etc) Though I guess the Outlaws came through and did a better job.

Yeah They did, but those cats were spitting tho, had to respect that. A response was def warranted. The verses themselves were technical as far structure with some slickness thrown in there

No Vaseline was in response to Real nikkaz off the nikkaz 4 Life album which was released BEFORE Death Certificate and No Vaseline. What more could Ren and Doc say in response to that? Cube flatlined Ren with:

Don't try to front MC Ren/cuz I remember when you drove a B210/broke as a muthfukkin' joke/let you on the scene to back up the first team...

They didn't beat up Eazy. They caught him in a room with guns and shyt and told him to sign the contracts over. Eazy signed them but he didn't sign his real name.

He signed the contracts with fake names (I heard one story that he signed it as Mickey Mouse lol). BG Knocc Out told the whole story.

At 7:15 mark

Plus, Eazy was going to kill Suge. Jerry talk him out of it and advised him to take him to court instead. By that point it was clear Dre, DOC and Michele wasn't coming back to Ruthless. So they settled out of court and he got 20% of everything Dre touched at Deathrow.

Keep in mind Eazy probably knew the guys that killed Tupac. All of them SouthSide Crips rolled him (check the Real Muthaphukkin G'z video). He could have taken it to the streets...but he decided to take it court and get money instead.

Bg a real nikka but hes bias :yeshrug: ... U think even if eazy had hands put on him that bg knockout would come out and admitt it ?? Why would doug young lie ... He was cool with everyone involoved ?? Eazy didnt want them problems with suges folks who knew eazy e personally nikkas like bountry who put the fear ov god in most nikkas ..... N yea eazy was cool with keffe dee and orlando from what the reports say.... All i was trying to point out was had eazy had that done to him in 2016 had 3 ov his biggest artists stolen from him then instead ov handling it in the streets file a lawsuit instead am pretty sure even u would agree most nikkas would be calling him out even if he was getting money from dres songs ...:manny:... Eazy wouldnt really last in hiphop with that mentality now adays ...

No Vaseline came and went. He rode on them, they seemingly ate it and moved on. But Cube took that physical beat down.

As for Dre Day, it was powerful but once Real MFn G'z came out, Dre nor Snoop were ever looked at the same. Eazy had AJ Johnson playing him is his own video, showed Dre wearing lipstick, called them out for being studio gangstas, and mentioned that he was being paid off of them. It didn't help when you learned that Snoop was being paid in cars and houses but no cash.

The only thing is that after '96, no one ever even mentioned Eazy again, so his name faded.
Eazy had a dope voice for rapping was a decent rapper nothing special was a decent music mogul aswell Its strange his name kinda fizzled out after he died like u said ....Compared to say pac or big whos names never seem to fizzle out n they died in the same era as eazy :manny:
