Beginning of the end. Hated it then. Hate it now.

and i get why you say that too

Old Ye fans from back in the early 2000's, who knew him from producing beats like "This Can't Be Life" and "The Truth", felt this way for the most part

808's was definitely a fork in the road and where most of the old Ye fans departed and new ones jumped on board.

i'll play along

what is?

lyrics? or the production?

the production ought to be since he had legends like Babyface and like dozens of other producers producing, lmao!

Production...the songs.....the features.....the lyrics.....the whole vybe.

I'm not 1 of those music nerds who trips on dorky production shyt. Even though I could. Even down to mixing and mastering.

And 2 be honest diddy and ye have a lot more in common them the casual would think. It takes a team 2 make it happen.

If u liked 808s you would love this album. I don't see why you wouldn't bump it front 2 back if u were really a music guy.

see, im an "old" head

i grew up in the era when No Way Out was larger than life.

he ain't never been a great, let alone good artist, however in those days, the writers he had like B.I.G, Ma$e and Jada helped him spit some dope lines but that wasn't his lane. his lane was being the producer/executive and the occasional adlibs, all that other shyt was dripping with wack juice. lol

him trying to do the whole R&B thing now was just like :comeon: to me

dude is washed.

Thats a shame cause I'm an "old head" 2 in my mid 30s. I put music first and foremost. Ive met some of my musical icons and it was beyond disappointing IRL ive talked about it on here.

If u an old head u from the era where we didn't have all this social media influence. Now a days rap beef is more about "personal" and "social media" info than bar for bar. the days of nas/jay beans/jada are long gone.

U might be an old head but it sound like u cheating yourself out of dope shyt due 2 new views breh.
