Watching the studio sessions and stuff from his Netflix doc. He seemed happy and always smiling even when he was broke... Fast forward to today... He never smiles at all .. The Lost of his mom and Holly weird sucked the soul outta dude

I was at the album release concert at Chicago’s House of Blues. The curtain lifted to an unknown John Legend playing Home which showed up years later with Coldplay. He actually spit verse from Gold Digger and was clowning with his Mom who was up in the box. Dame came out and told him he shipped platinum. Was a great show!

Bought this album the first day. "All Falls Down" (unreleased version with Lauryn's vocals from "Mystery of Iniquity") made me a fan. I knew the album version was changed, but still loved the song and the video. "Jesus Walks', "Never Let Me Down", and "Family Business" also hit.
