2001 is one of those movies that film buffs always scream you have to watch but then after you watch it you sit there wondering what else you could have done with those 2 hours. Its a movie strictly for people who want to be amazed at the cinematography in relation to the time it was created. Ive only seen 2001, Full Metal Jacket, and The Shining, The Shining is the only one i would watch again.

Any of his movies you would recommend that is good for the entertainment value?

After I saw how slick Kubrick exposed the Nasa Moon Landing in The Shining, I'm forever impressed.

Tino has to:camby:
People sleep on the fact that he was telling a story within a story, Plus they say he was commenting on the treatment of Native Americans. Also, take into account the fact that 2001, was created a year before the "moon landing" but he was dropping all kind of clues in The Shining. Esp. with the boy wearing the Apollo 11 sweater.
