I have one. It’s cool. Charging is a pain in the ass though. I gotta wire it up to my existing system.

Nas got in Series A (not seed money) but he’s not considered a “Lead Investor”. Which tells me that his initial investment was not substantial and probably diluted.

Good for him though. Most of these entertainer nikkas go broke.

Damn Nas got in on ring after the shark tank fukkers blew it :ohhh:

The God really out here making moves :to::wow::ahh:. I wonder what else he has invested in bc Envy mentioned a while back on Breakfast Club that Nas was killing it

If Nas comes out of nowhere and reveals that OFFICIAL billionaire status before anyone else in rap:banderas::banderas::banderas:

Nest Cam seems to have better camera quality and the app has more versatility (longer backlog of recordings), but the Ring doorbell is so clutch. I like that floodlight/alarm they have too

Morning Report: Amazon spent a lot of money on a thing called Ring. Who put money into it? These folks.

The Show That Shall Not Be Named missed the boat on Ring, a WiFi-connected doorbell company. But 21 individuals and groups did not. And now that Amazon has spent over $1 billion on the smart home company, those folks made out pretty well.

But too often we don’t really spend much time looking at the folks behind the deal. So in that vein—and bearing in mind the usual Crunchbase News disclosures given that some of these people might own part of our parent company—here’s the list, first of rounds, and then investors, that Ring picked up before it exited to one of Seattle’s giants.

How Much
For reference, that sums to $209.2 million, giving Ring a roughly 5x multiple on invested capital. For how that fits into the greater constellation of exits, check here.

Who Came Out Ahead
And here’s the list of who put capital into the company, in paragraph form, as bulleted lists get long in the tooth after the fifth entry. From top to bottom: Kleiner, First Round, Goldman, CRV, True, Felicis, Qualcomm Ventures, Upfront, VTF Capital, QueensBridge Ventures, Cherubic Ventures, DFJ Growth, Shea Ventures, Virgin Group, Amazon Alexa Fund, Grishin Robotics, Sidekick Fund, American Family Insurance, Konstantin Othmer, Stephen Russell, Shea Tate-Di Donna.

Look at all those people smarter than a stupid television show.

I hear even though the shark turns you down, the show still gets a percentage just for featuring you. Don't know if it's true.
Used to be true, hasn't been true since Mark Cuban joined. He had them eliminate that cause in order for him to agree being on the show, which is actually some standup shyt.

Please how many times will we get lied to by rappers nas probably has a percent more than Jay-z had when he owned the NEts
Except Nas doesn't floss his ownership like that...

He never told y'all he was financing documentaries and shows for netflix or owned a popular now defunct rap tour. It's always others counting his money and pocket watching :dame::dame:

Hopefully Nas still retains some form of ownership after the Amazon acquisition, so he can get those hefty residual checks
