Son..same way the GPU is stronger in the 360...the Sony's Cell processor is FAR stronger than the 360's processor fam...most people who review both systems and weigh the pros and cons they almost ALWAYS come out dead even... and then it all boils down to the games for the most part..but like i said..the gap between multiplats closed A WHILE ago...it all boils down to SOME games run and better on one..some run and look better on the other..and if it's a significant difference...9 times outta 10 it's dev related...real talk..which is why as powerful as the PC is some ports run horrible on it..GTA4 for instance...
The ports on PC suffer from different issues though
they're significantly more powerful but they have to
contend with the OS and the myriad of different GPU's
available. On console it's one set of hardware, so they're
able to predict performance more accurately.
Yes. The Cell processor is faster and stronger than the
CPU in the 360 but all of that extra performance is used
to bring PS3 games up to parity with 360 games.
Without the Cell processor the Ps3 would be in even worse
condition, Why ? Once gain because the GPU is lacking.
Many things that would normally be done on the GPU
are thrown at the cell because the GPU is usually already
business enough as it is, and even then the Cell processor
is not a GPU and is slower at certain tasks that a graphics
processor is meant to handle.
Certain games show this already in real world performance years
after the ps3 has been explored and Sony has sent experts to help
developers, it's not like we're in 2007 anymore and no one knows
how to code for it.
The gap may have closed but it's still noticeable.
Mark Cerny brings this up in his Cerny talk, they created
the ICE team to address developer grievances that stemmed directly
from the ps3 under performing.
I don't really care to argue this because it's
been proven time and a again that the 360
does have real hardware advantages.
You can either go to a serious tech oriented
website and read about the pros and cons from real experts
and various people who have worked on both machines
OR
you can go off of the websites that don't have half
as many knowledgeable users.

It's enough for me
Wow, that gigahurts.
