You are completely wrong on this point - you couldn't be more further from the truth. I can tell you now, there's no other team in the league that gets the best effort/preperation night in night out, from their opponents than the Warriors do. Which makes what GS are doing all that more impressive.

IM not wrong Breh i seen enough Warrior games this year to know what im talking about....ALOT of bad defenses and coaches with just flat out wrong game plans...But like i been saying most teams in the league are playing for themselves and there playoff position, they dont reallly care about game planning properly for the Dubs, they just assume they'll lose and hope to be competitive for 3 quarters...

Ive seen Curry and Klay take way too many open shots and its not cuz guys are confused, its cuz guys get lazy and dont want to run and dont want to make the effort on the defnesive end in a regular season game...I made this post back in december, theyve had alot of easy nights against some truly horrible coaching...

Warriors are playing for the record, all the other teams dont really care about it...

Well instead of people bashing a All time NBA great because he's old, why don't we listen lol. And I think he's right. Hassan just showed gs weakness. Shaq would demolish small ball too every single possesion. Picture if they played the twin towers or a team with 2 good defensive perimeter players lol . It's no great post players anymore. He probably right

oscar was also saying that if somebody hit a three pointer on him or if they knew a opponent was was a dangerous shooter..they would check him from the inbond,(fullcourt press)

his point being that nba defenses now are not being engaged/checked untill dudes hit the free throw line so they have freedomn to move and score..

so basically he wants full court press on steph curry all game...

would that work?:jbhmm:
Of course it wouldn't work - which really speaks on how misinformed Oscar really is. Not only do you see Curry get picked up on a full-court press, but often he's not even the player bringing up the ball (even when no one is on him). Draymond, Klay, Iggy, Barbosa and Livingston all bring up the ball at times when they play with Curry. I mean how many times do you see Iggy or Draymond grab a board and initiate the fast break; finding either Klay or Curry on the wings before the defense has a chance to get set?

It's not like in Oscar's era, when only the guards brought up the ball - you have wing players and forwards who can do it now.

Educate me. .what set plays are ran?
I think the better question would be, what has made you come to the conclusion they don't run any set plays today in comparison to previous eras? I mean you take for instance the late 70s to the late 80s where there was minimal structure and halfcourt sets and it was basically just transition basketball or one-two plays.

The current NBA does suck. He cant be the one to say it though because its a no win situation for him. Jim Brown says the same shyt about football but nobody calls him "old & a hater"
because football does suck now

nba is the best it's been in years

Watch most game highlights of Warriors games, its littered with putrid defensive mistakes....Its funny almost in March and guys still go underneath screens on Curry, not only go underneath but stand there and dont attempt to close out while hes 10 feet away...

Warriors record is alot to do with really bad teams, defenses, coaching and there ability to get away with dozens of illegal screens on a nightly basis...

Im watching highights from last nights game vs Miami....a ton of open shots, guys going under the pick,Whiteside making dumb mistakes on help D...its comical...

Yea some random stat geek on the internet like you is better informed on the NBA game than Oscar Robertson. You've got some nerve dude.
If anybody says that there's hardly any "misdirection plays, double screen plays, weakside ball action" or any other wrinkles and folds today, than yes they are misinformed. I don't know about what sets/schemes all the teams run down to each specific detail, but what I do know is how complex and advanced they are to previous eras - simply by just watching them play. And I especially wouldn't make a general sweeping generalization that teams don't run sets, understand defense or have any variance in their offenses like Oscar said. He's completely off-key on that.

Watch most game highlights of Warriors games,
Well there's your problem right there - highlights aren't going to show you all times where teams do make good decisions, rotations or switches on defense.
its littered with putrid defensive mistakes....Its funny almost in March and guys still go underneath screens on Curry, not only go underneath but stand there and dont attempt to close out while hes 10 feet away...
You can do that for every single team in the league. Highlight plays are generally made to highlight what the offense did well, usually at the expense at what the defense didn't do well. Curry is the most closely guarded perimeter player in the game, a few instances where you see a player failing to go over the top of a screen or not close out properly doesn't take away from all the times where he's got 2-3 players either focused on, running to him, trapping him or draped all over him behind the 3-pt line or anywhere in the halfcourt.

Teams aren't going to guard him perfectly or even good all throughout the game - not only are they human and will make mistakes but Curry's off-ball ability and lighting quick release makes it impossible for them to stay on him the entire game. What do you want teams to implement a defensive strategy similar to what Loyola did against him when he was at Davidson? Where they double-teamed him on every possession for the entire game - holding him to 0 points - but sacrificing any chance at winning in the process as they ended up losing by 30.
Im watching highights from last nights game vs Miami....a ton of open shots, guys going under the pick,Whiteside making dumb mistakes on help D...its comical...
Stop watching highlights and start watching games. Teams make dumb mistakes on D every day, B.:manny:
