International students have destroyed Canada stealing jobs and raising housing but I don't know if they can work in the states like they can in Canada
Support what? Intentional students pay damn near twice over what domestic students pay.

International students with F1 visas aren’t taxed on international income sources. So they get to enjoy the things we pay taxes for like infrastructure, university funding, parks, etc. without contributing.

I wouldnt say its wrong but 200% it has an effect on country.
People come here, get an american education, and then work from their countries for american companies.
They, in turn, hire people in their home countries pennys on the dollar and in end take jobs from americans for cheap cheap cheap.
Ive worked with a LOT of companies that hire out to non americans, and they always do a shytty job or dont know what they doing and in end get paid extra for things we end up doing on salary working extra hours. Just pay us that money. But they “cant”. End up calling their boss (the american schooled one) and he just assigns another non anerican fresh here (or there if working remotely) who still dont know shyt.
They hire them because they CHEAP. And the work is cheap.
Yws the talent part i get. And i think trunp wrong on tbat. But there is a problem when the uneducated classes Get work americans could get.
Ive said it before but my entire town is now run by indians. Why sre they importing indians to work at a corner store and gas stations? Americans worked there all this time. Now its run by indians, non citizen workers. All of them. Like 7 busineses are run from one house they all work from. All owned by one guy who getting rich off international labor in AMERICA. Corner stores , gas stations, liquor stores. No more americans working there at all.
We exploit them. They exploit their own. Chicken or egg? Idk. But its gotten crazy.
I can name like 20 different people i know whos jobs were taken over by non americans. In construction its the mexicans:south americans. My cousin showed up to work and it was all mexicans and they stole shyt snd blamed it on him because he was only non Mexican on job. In engineering its the indians. In trucking its chinese and asians. Regular retail its indians asians arabs. Etc.
I dont mind people coming here to work. But working here while living there, making money because they can exploit at home or importing people for jobs with NO skills to work for them is to me, Not right.

The American students going to Harvard etc are not taking anything from you. They pay x3 to go to school what you pay and pay to live here. God forbid they walk in a park without paying income tax but yet they are paying sales tax and tuition and rent.

When international students stop coming here and start going to Europe and China or staying home is when we should begin to panic. Not when they are desperately trying to come here. Another reason people don't mention much...local money. The biggest university in each state is typically the largest employer in the state or top 5. Foreign students are obviously not a majority of student bodies anywhere in the US but they're often 10-25%, and that equals money and jobs. Another employer that's typically the largest or top 5 in states? Hospitals (many of which are tied to universities btw). That's a lot of money and jobs, not to mention key professions like doctors/surgeons/etc.
And I don't want to hear "those spots can go to Americans" from the same group of people who have spent the last decade telling people college is worthless and offers no benefits lol. You cannot have it both ways. We have large segments of the American population who simply do not give a fukk about college. You know who gives a fukk about college? Second generation kids, immigrants, and foreign students. And before someone brings up costs lets be real: Americans, specifically (white and black) American men, aren't going to cheap trade schools either. Large percentages are simply not doing jack shyt, even when jobs/skills/etc are directed advertised to them. Employers are begging men to work for good wages and they're refusing.
