The last major negative event in the black community that could possibly be tied to hip-hop was the late 80s early 90s gang violence surge, but even those gangs emerged in the Disco and Funk music eras.

People acting like Chief Keef is the reason that Chicago is so bad, but since Chief Keef became a major artist Chicago has had 2 of it's lowest murder counts in decades.

You are overestimating the effect of music on the black community and it sad, because it diverts from real issues that negatively affect black communities like local government corruption, infrastructure neglect, and familial dysfunction that has existed for damn near 5 decades. Blaming the "music and culture" is just a easy scapegoat.

i feel this..but i think it's not so much that we aren't giving them a chance. i think the problem is black people male and female who feel like this(so called "geeks" and "squares") don't have anywhere to go to MEET UP with each other... that's a huge problem.
