I've found the opposite to be true.
In every ethnic group, males whether they are white, indian, asian, arab etc. appear to prefer the company of men over women.
Whites got the whole "bro culture" going on and not too long ago we had single-gender institutions. This was to emphasize the importance of in-group bonding.
With black men, I think it could go either way and it may be dependent on whether or not you grew up in a single parent household.
If you had a father in the house, like I did, you would have saw the importance placed on spending time with the buddies. Every weekend, religiously, my dad was with the guys, watching the games, bbqing, fishing, drinking or just shooting the shyt.
With me, it's the same way. I prefer my male friendships over my female friendships.
I've always felt that guys that preferred to be around females were either feminine or was raised by their mothers.
Obviously, there are exceptions but just a perception I've had.

I don’t trust people in general, but I don’t trust women a little more than men. Both get on my nerves in different ways so it really depend on the person. Overall I think I’m selfish and plan to stay that way because that’s probably the only way you’ll win in life.

Not just that, but tbh it’s hard to have platonic friendships with men. I actually like kicking it with men because I find them funny and refreshing(their perspectives and honesty) as hell, but every single male friendship Ive ever had, had to be ended because the dude liked me as more than a friend.
I do have more things in common with women though. I notice that a lot of men prefer each other’s company a lot. Not that they don’t like women, but they don’t like kicking it with women like that, unless it’s their girl. Whereas a lot of women I know, do enjoy kicking it with both men and women(some even like kicking it with men more).
