If you're too fukking lazy to do the job you're paid millions of dollars to do its time to get your old ass the fukk out of the way and put someone in there who can actually handle doing the job competently
But Stephen A isn’t stopping anybody’s grind. If you’re destined to get to that level you’re getting there regardless

Man being a public figure got to be insufferable. If he was coming from the rest room they would’ve said “Stephen A was in the rest room during the game he’s a fraud” God forbid people are human
Man GTFOH. If you're a movie critic, are you to to be taken serious if you're playing solitaire during the movie you're suppose to be reviewing? This man is being paid 100 MILLION by ESPN and yall are like "oh he can play on his phone during the NBA FINALS!" Ridiculous lmao. Yall acting like he Joe Schmoe from down the block...he's ESPN'S HIGHEST PAID ANALYST!!!

There are two issues here. Stephen A Smith is not just a talking head but an accredited journalist. He is at this point in his career a journalist of record. His job is to literally pay attention to the game. As he is paid millions of dollars to do this. There are jobs that pay a fraction of what he makes that would fire you if you were on your phone at key times. It'a fair to call into question his credibility because he is a foremost sports figure and has had to fight accusations that he doesn't really pay attention or watch the games. Even worse this is an NBA finals matchup of which there are only a few games left to play.

The other issue is instead of copping to it he doubles down only to be caught in a lie by other fans. If had been honest from the beginning maybe he would have gotten some level of grace but he deserved to be called out on that.

Where is that video? Is it the one where the screen is on and he is looking at the court?

Damn, if the man goes to the bathroom during the game are people gonna post that shyt too?
you take certain positions, you have certain responsibility. you keep trying to move the goalpost. He's not you or me, he's EPSN's $100 mil basketball analyst and he's too bothered to watch during GAME 4 OF THE FINALS...not a random November NBA game...GAME 4 OF THE FINALS.

You trying to cope with some 'oh he's human, let him take a break from watching the biggest game of the sport he covers'. Get outta here man lmao. Again, let you see a movie critic play on his phone during a movie he's reviewing and you'd instantly discredit him

Dudes really here making up scenarios/excuses when SAS is literally "let me do something else".:mjlol:
But will be on TV with the biggest microphone talking about what happened during the game...

It's no different than having remote meetings and someone ask a question and the person responds" sorry repeat that, I'm multi tasking/failing ":mjlol:

No motherfukker you just aren't paying attention..

Imagine giving a fukk about this
Like he can still be paying attention to the game while fukking around on his phone. It ain’t that deep it’s just basketball. Y’all acting like it’s hard to talk about why a team won or loss

People just jealous he gets paid crazy money to talk about sports. Everyone thinks they can do his job so they can’t wait to try to bring him down.

Exactly

Dudes just want to punch up at celebrities on social media without real consequence.

They have no real response if the athlete, actor, whatever fight back so they try to frame it as insecurity.

It'd be one thing if KD was picking on randoms unprovoked.
Cac behavior. They believe it’s their god given right to troll & be disrespectful to people online, & they just have to accept it. @RhodyRum a goofy white boy

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
I actually like that he goes back and forth with fans. Y'all taking shots and supposed to just take the high road especially when you look at some of the folks taking shots that you can tell can't hoop or never hooped in their life. I'd shyt on them too. They got all this energy for me that could put towards making their miserable life better.

It’s just indicative of how some people mythologize celebrities. They view someone like Durant as “too good,” to interact with the common person because of their status/wealth. KD does not even view himself like that. He’d say he’s just a dude that hoops. Beyond that, not all of his interactions with fans are on some clap back shyt. Hell, most of his interactions are not.

I do think KD helped usher in the “fukk the fans” era, but I don’t have any issue with him actually engaging with fans—if that makes sense.
