Like @Gil Scott-Heroin said up there, shyt is on the switch he will have the advantage and is pretty decent defensively mostly likely gaurding a smaller position player. But when it comes to rebounding and guarding another 4, he may have difficulty.

Offensively im sure he will eat. Not an ideal position for him to play but that team has very little talent so he has to do more.
Exactly. I don't know why dudes are calling this movie "stupid" when the alternative is worse. :heh:

So you can see it working with CJ Miles guarding 4s instead? :dahell:

CJ, no.

I'm assuming the roster and dept chart will be altered to reflect this plan. I believe it'll be situational.

Or it could all be smoke screens:yeshrug:

Then who's going to guard the 4 then? This is what you said -

If he plays the 4 on O and 3 on D, I can see it working.

They need to be a contender (in your opinion) in order for you to understand this move? Why can't they just be a regular ass team opting to take a new approach [following a trend] on offense - making the most out of what they have?

Well, they didn't go out and sign Monta just to 'tank'. I mentioned a few weeks ago on what I thought on the makeup of their squad -

Yes. You wanna follow a trend, then get the pieces necessary to follow said trend and do it the right way. They don't have the pieces to be a small ball team so really what's the point of taking such risks with George just to be a regular ass team (and that's only if everything breaks right for them)?

The roster construction is the problem. But their fan base ain't turning on Larry.

My issue is I don't get the long term plan here.

Why experiment with your best player and have him do something he clearly doesn't want to do?

I'm not suggesting that they are doing it the right way - I'm saying that this approach maximizes their chances at winning with how they're currently built.

There's no doubt about that, however their approach isn't, and there's nothing stoppin them from adding other pieces in the future - continuing down the same path.

He's open to trying it and that's good enough. I don't see any potential in starting a Mahinmi/J.Hill frontcourt - there's only so much both of them can provide as a duo. At least with this experiment, there's a high reward resulting from the equation.

Like I said above, you can't expect to have a proper offense if you have FOUR players in your starting lineup who live in the midrange/paint.

The 479
@Gil Scott-Heroin isn't the real problem with putting PG at the 4 the wear and tear he is gonna be putting on his body a la Shane Battier a couple years ago? Even LeBron was getting worn down in the post during his peak athletic years. I agree it's their best bet to be above average on offense. On the best days, they'll be able to score at will and suffocate the other team's pick n rolls. It'll probably be lights out in the playoffs. But an entire season is gonna hurt ole boy. Especially with his workload on offense.

But it hasn't been confirmed he'll be playing 40 minutes a night there either so this could all be a moot point.

I don't got the answers breh:damn:

I have to assume the men getting pain millions to put the pieces together do.
I'll have a more informed opinion once I see these guys on the court.

It's really a matter of who he's playing next to.
I don't see them doing this all season;
Only for specific match ups

CJ, no.

I'm assuming the roster and dept chart will be altered to reflect this plan. I believe it'll be situational.
