2018 was his high water mark. 5000 yards 50 TDs. MVP.
2019 was about his team getting better.
We've already seen the best of Mahomes. I was wrong about him. He's a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. But he's this generation's Dan Marino. The best is already over. Just like Marino when '84 was his peak.

I will admit that Mahomes definitely exceeded my expectations for him. I had him rated as a future Pro Bowl QB before the 2017 draft. But I never expected him to be a 1st Team All-Pro MVP caliber QB.
With that said, this is the best we'll ever see from him. He's already peaked. I think this year is his HIGH WATER MARK. He won't be this good ever again. Whether its in terms of stats or post-season success. Sorta like how Dan Marino never surpassed his 1984 season.
Pat Mahomes will be a future Hall of Fame QB. And he will be one of the top QBs in the NFL for the next 10+ years. However, he won't be this good ever again.

Did you not notice they went 2-1 with him out of the lineup? Blew out the Broncos after he got hurt. Lost a close game at home to a 13-3 Packers team. Then beat a playoff bound Vikings team with fukkin Matt Moore.
Also check out Matt Moore's stats while Mahomes was out. A garbage journeyman QB was putting up some big time numbers. Andy Reid got a nice system there.

There was nothing GOAT about the 2018 season. Rodgers 2011 was definitely better. Manning 2013 was arguably better as well. According to analytics like QBR, Lamar's 2019 was better.
Media got you clouded cause they're on Mahomes balls. That corny mulatto is nice but he ain't no GOAT or close to it. A number of his peers are just as good if not better.
