I know what he avg but did you watch the games? It's long stretches where he can't even get the ball up court without getting ripped by the Bulls. Old Jazz never had those issues with their midget cac backcourt in either finals series. He wasn't a great ball handler and his shooting was inconsistent beyond mid. There was a lot of raw skill there. Oscar, might be the most underrated basketball player if anybody took this forum seriously. We trying to act like saying Jason Kidd was better than Penny is blasphemy?:shaq2:

kidd isn’t more talented ,you got a case if You think kidd a better pg

yea I watched the series in live time, struggling at times vs the #1 defense in the league with 3 1st team all defense players takes nothing away from my point

:wtf:

Watch prime Penny against the Bulls in 96. It's times where he looked like he couldn't dribble the ball against that defense. He was never a great shooter. He was talented and could do alot at the position because of his height and athleticism but everyone i named above is a better basketball player at the point guard position than Penny.

:gucci:

Prime Oscar footage is out there but it's easier to youtube his Bucks time which I would still consider a washed Big O(before the wheels fell off) better than the best version we saw of Penny.

I cant take this quote serious unless you're over 60 years old, and you saw the big O play. If you are, ok. If not.. you're buggin.

:mjtf: Yea.. that's exactly what we sayin ...

Stop mentioning Iverson. He was a SG despite being 6'0". Just like Magic was a PG despite being 6'9".
A.I. was a PG that got made into a SG.

In HS and college he played point. In '97, '98, '05, '06, '07, '08 he was a PG. It was Larry Brown old traditional ass that made him play SG and they had Eric Snow for defensive purposes. A.I. was never really a SG he just played in a two guard set.

Save the smilies add substance. Steph isn't more talented than Penny? Serious question in this thread, is height a talent? Y'all are overrating his actual talent with characteristics that aided his talent. I'm not taking anyone's opinion seriously on Big O that hasn't done any research or watched a sec of him play. It's too easy to find footage but most of this forum don't actually watch games or learn history of the game. Just boxscore watch and post stats for hot takes

It says most talented PG ever.

Talk to me about Magic's ball handling, triple threat and footwork, jumpshooting, athleticism, defense.

Magic isn't the most talented point guard ever he's the most physically gifted and he's the best passer and had the best teams.

I can add all the substance you need. Is height a talent? No. Is being able to do what he did at 6'7 as a point guard a talent? Yes.

And what did he do at a higher level in his 3 year prime than JKidd and Steph Curry did in their careers that showed he was more talented than them?

So, lemme get this straight. You're not taking anyone's opinion on O's game (for the record.. i HAVE seen him play. So dont make this out to be like I'm shytting on him, bc I'm not) .. but yet he played before damn near all these jitterbugs on here were born. :wtf:

As for the second bold part.. Penny's stats weren't even that massive.. so what are you talkin about when you say 'just boxscore watch and post stats for hot takes' ?? That makes no sense. Steph's numbers are actually better than Penny's career numbers (until you add in playoff numbers) .. but its clear to the eye who the more talented of the two was. I'm not sure why you're trippin about this?

I'll buy the JKidd argument. I still think Penny was more talented, but I wont trip if you say Kidd. :manny: I think both Kidd and Penny are a tier above Steph talent wise.

You're buggin with Curry. Dudes a 1 trick pony. He's a scorer/shooter, and thats where it ends.
