I don't know how you can ignore the millions and millions of migrant encounters at the border and try to shift the focus on overstays. The number of migrants requesting asylum is going up yearly and hitting new records just last year. With economies worsening around the world and South and Central American having shyt economies, those numbers will only continually to increase. The migrants that you encounter at the border have no skills, don't speak the language and require a lot of resource commitment in comparison to visa overstays.

I don't see how you can follow what's going on at the border and act like it's a non issue. You gotta be fukking delusional.

Literally you have mayors of NYC and Chicago saying that they can no longer house migrants because of the lack of space and resources to provide for them. Threads like these always expose the liberals that don't know wtf they're talking about but have a strong opinion about it anyway.

Approximately 4 million people have been apprehended illegally crossing the border (and those are only the ones that were actually caught) since Biden has taken office. That’s record numbers, and it’s all thanks to Biden’s “Catch and Release” policies. VISA overstays can’t even be compared to those numbers. They’re truly economic migrants making bogus asylum claims and gaming the system. This administration is allowing them to do it, and in all honesty, I’d be coming too, if I were them. It isn’t just Venezuelans and Cubans. It’s people from all over the planet. Wealthy Indians are gaming the system and crossing by the hundreds every week. Why apply for a visa, when I can just show up, cross, and be released with a court date three years from now that I’ll never attend?

Biden’s recently made some adjustments to his policies because shyt was on pace to be even more catastrophic and even Democrats across the nation have been calling him out. Hundreds of I llegals setting up homeless camps in El Paso, NYC and Chicago running out of resources, Denver bytching, San Diego crying, and the list goes on. We’ll see what happens with his recent change in policy.

That would have been factual before Biden took office. Since he’s taken office, that isn’t accurate anymore. When you have an average of 70-100k illegal entrants (a month) for almost three years straight, that number now outpaces overstays. Those are record setting numbers and they were increasing exponentially. That is completely unsustainable and the shyt was about to break/collapse.

In addition to this, Biden and Mayorkas limited ICE’s ability to arrest and deport those same OVERSTAYS that you’re mentioning. They essentially don’t want ICE deporting anyone, unless they’re violent.

FWIW, my mother is in a low skilled nursing job and she has been complaining that her job is offering her less opportunities and less pay because of the increase in migrant workers from Africa. Having uncontrolled migration into the US DOES impact black workers in low skilled jobs. It just does and people can't deny that.

the majority are not criminals
house keepers, restaurants, and anything they can do that is legal
