You know a lot of clown cats are gonna buy a Scorpio with only 1080p or even 720p sets, don't see the "upgrade" they expected for the price they paid, and then bytch and moan man.

Dont buy a Scorpio to play your games now and coming out before it launches and built for xb1 and expect to see a crazy jump in improvement.


It should be common sense, as its a new system. But they are making it confusing buy trying to be too transparent, its like when you have a girl and you try to tell her everything and be all the way honest in every little thing. You start looking suspect and its confusing to them.


My take from this is scorpio will still heavily support xb1 games for the 1st year or so and specialize in 4k games and VR for the dev's that want to start going that route.


I feel like they are making this way more difficult than it needs to be.


Essentially they want the scorpio and the xb1 to share the same ecosystem for awhile. But that doesn't make sense, people will buy the latest greatest if its better.....

People are stupid and we both know there's gonna be a lot of jackasses that cop Scorpios and get mad after the price they pay for it.

It's going to be CRITICAL that retailers explain this shyt to customers, but it won't matter anyway.

you're missing the key point. PRICE TAG. Be honest how much do you think this scorpio with all this power will be going for come 2017?

I'm saying nothing less than $699.99 and thats cheap. i dont care if you want the newest latest. if you can't afford it, you wont get it. have you noticed most console gamers dont drop $800+ on a new pc every other year to get the newest latest. Because that price tag every other year is a bit much.

It was taken out of context.

The statement was made as advice to consumers confused on which box to buy.

"What kinda TV do you have"

"1080p"

"Well you should buy an X1"

Now people took that and extrapolated all types of nonsense out of it, which made him come back and say of course you can hook it to your 1080p set and devs won't be forced to have native 4K.

Which should go without saying to any of us who spend time on a message board talking about games/tech.
