Don't have a 4K TV in 2016, brehs

Man, people really upgrading to 4K right now? I'm not in any rush to do so. Seriously, what is wrong with 1080p?

I don't have one and haven't felt like I needed one yet.Don't have a 4K TV in 2016, brehs
By the end of 2017 when this drops are 4K TVs really going to be in most people's homes like that? Is the jump to 4K as big as SD to HD? Both companies are pushing for this resolution, and I'm all about the best quality picture, but I really don't think it's that big of a deal, or some huge selling point at this point in time.
Games running at 60fps and at 1080p are far more intriguing to me.

4K is way better breh.

If you bought a tv in the last 2-3 years it's probably a 4K. 1080p is being phased out.Don't have a 4K TV in 2016, brehs
No because running games at 4K/60fps is hard for most builds.Aren't most PC gaming elitist gaming on rigs beyond 1080p?
4K is better resolution I understand, but for games not many are running shyt in 4K at 60fps. Are we close to this being standard now?4K is way better breh.
I bet years ago when dudes was rockin 720P sets, they were like "ehh 1080P not that big is it??"

Depends. Not 4K/60fps easily but it's getting there.4K is better resolution I understand, but for games not many are running shyt in 4K at 60fps. Are we close to this being standard now?
And? There's always some next level shyt going on with PC Gaming.I'm not just talking about 4k... I see PC gamers gaming on monitors that are 2560x1440.
The POINT is that 1080p is no longer "the thing." It is becoming dated. And? There's always some next level shyt going on with PC Gaming.
That's if you have a sucky gaming rig that can't do 1440p. Like I said 1080p is becoming dated to PC gamers. Or at least the ones who game on high end rigs. And like someone said 1080p TVs is slowly being phased out.Hell, I see many very cheap. What's the norm/average tho? Most aren't running games at that high resolution at a good framerate.
I am not sure I am ready to call it "dated", many games have not even patched to support ultra-wide monitors yet.The POINT is that 1080p is no longer "the thing." It is becoming dated.

When something becomes the norm/average that means it slowly becoming obsolete i.e 1080p.
This is the real issue here. Can developers actually take advantage of the new horsepower?I am not sure I am ready to call it "dated", many games have not even patched to support ultra-wide monitors yet.
There is still (in 2016) no consistent or quality 4K broadcast or streamed content to take advantage of 4K.Don't have a 4K TV in 2016, brehs
