Don't buy a Scorpio. Your PC is basically an Xbox.
If you get a good enough one, the upscaling alone is worth it. Plus, I have a monster PC, so a 4K TV was worth it to me when I bought mine last year

I got a 4ktv, bvut I know FOR A FACT as I know people that work in MS *awaits people to say ducktales* that he HAD to say this machine is only for those with 4K TV so people don't ignore the XBOX S and wait for the 4K version. I also know for a fact even though he said the 4KBOX won't have exclusives I know for certain in a few years it will. you don't include 6TERAFLOPS and insane amounts of ram for it to be the same console but higher res. He also said only for 4k tv users to make people buy the xbox S, which is stupid logic because at minimum 4KXBOX would offer 1080p60FPS. I also know the new XBOX wont have 'ONE' in it because through the years they will distance the 4kXBOX from xbox one and have it as its own console.

Don't doubt you one bit. But it's also why I think it was a BAD decision to announce this AFTER just announcing the One S. He hurt sales of the One S by bringing up the Scorpio. Worst case is cats would have bought both. Now some will wait.

I tried out, and bought and returned, several 4Ks. I eventually ended up with a Samsung SUHD (the S is important, I wouldn't recommend their straight UHD line). The SUHD comes in a flat and curved versions. I went with the flat version. However, I have a curved 3440x1440 monitor on my PC now, and I gotta say, I like the curve. You should try it out yourself and see if you want the curve or not. But, definitely go with the upper level SUHD model.
This is just from my 2015 buying experience, so take it for what it's worth:
Sony: Great colors on the higher end models, but the sound lag was unbearable (this happened with a lower end model and a top of the line model, so I know it wasn't just my TV)
Sharp :Terrible
LG: Too expensive
Vizio: Good monitor, but they cheap out on their ports (they only offered one HDMI 2.0 port on their TV, while the rest were HDMI 1.0 [30hz at 4K]. I guess if you have a good 4K receiver it doesn't matter, but it is still a disappointment)
Samsung: shytty ports and colors on their straight UHD models (the cheap models basically), but superior color, blacks, and HDR on their SUHD line (their top of the line shyt).
I got a good deal on my Samsung SUHD 4K ($1500 out the door on a 48"), and I would recommend a Samsung SUHD.
Supposedly Sony has the best 4K TV, but it costs a ton.
If you got money to burn, the new LG OLED 4Ks are what I would buy (they're $3K+ though). If you're looking at around a $1.5-2K model, get a Samsung SUHD (you decide if you want the curve or not)

Seriously, the NEO wasn't being touted as some supreme 4K gaming console. It's what the PS4 should have been from the jump with having 1080p60 as standard for AAA and more intensive games. 1080p30 and 900p60 is still better than the competition, but still.....
