I still think that if you do a rebuild after giving Melo max money, you're going about rebuilding the wrong way. The plan was to build a team from the best pieces of what we had (which should've been a playoff team) and hope we can add a superstar plus another strong player alongside Melo and those pieces. What we see however is nothing going right...from Calderon having a shytty year offensively, to Shumpert going from sugar back to shyt, to JR being perplexed by having to think.
You were delusional from the get go. We never had pieces to begin with. They were all nothing but question marks besides Melo.

You're talking like the Knicks are playing the way they're supposed to and losing games because of talent. That's not what's happening here although that's how you'll spin it. Shumpert and JR were question marks...Calderon not being able to play for a full month was not expected, nor was him averaging single digit points so far this year. Also, don't act like we've lost more than a game or two due to Melo playing poorly. A lot of this is still the Knicks getting acclimated to the system, but some of these losses are just poor execution and/or lack of effort.

And I still think they can turn it around although I'm not sure they believe it. Fisher needs to stop playing Jason Smith tho :why:

That Magic Johnson quote at the bottom, he knows whats up:lawd:

Johnson — speaking at the same unveiling of “In Their Own Words,” a collection of hand-written inscriptions of various stars’ most memorable moments — delivered a calmer appraisal of Jackson, whom he desperately wanted to stay with the Lakers.

“I think Phil is a realist. He understood what he was getting himself into. We all have to understand: It’s not about this year. Everybody’s thinking it’s about this year — it’s not,’’ Johnson said. “This was a throwaway year anyway, so everybody should be happy. You hope you get a good pick. I hope the Lakers lose every game, because if you’re going to lose, lose. And I’m serious.

“If you’re going to lose, you’ve got to lose, because you can’t be in the middle of the pack. You’ve either got to be great, or you’ve got to be bad, to get as good a pick. But the one thing you have is cap space. If I’m a Knick fan, I’m very happy, because I’m looking toward the future. This thing can change in the summer just like that, one or two guys — whether that’s through free agency or through trades. At least you’ve got the cap space to make some things happen.’’

But these #notankzone fans don't want to hear it though. Even Magic knows and I bet as soon as kobe gets his place above MJ in scoring the Lakers are just going to tank the rest of the season too. Because that is the smart thing to do.

:sas1:

Between all that cap space, having a top 10 scorer on the roster, and potentially a very high draft pick. The knicks can bounce back from this season to being a very good team next year, and they will have max money in 2016 to fix any holes the roster has as well.

:sas2:

shyt going in for FA is what fukked the knicks in 2010 FA (and arguably was what made dolan determined/stupid enough to trade every roleplayer on the roster for Melo). This season has been a long time coming, the rooster have come home for all the shytty Front Office moves made since Walsh was in charge. Phil is just smart enough to say fukk it and let it all fall apart so he can rebuild. #knickstank

Knick fans are crazy. IMO Knicks couldn't have a better scenario than the one their in now.

We have our franchise player locked up to a long-term deal with a team bad enough to net us a high draft pick to secure ourselves a good young player to complement him in the draft. 2/3rd of the roster is gone next year as well so we'll have a shyt-ton of cap-space to fukk around with in the off-season. Even, if the Knicks don't cash out on any game-changing player like Gasol and Aldridge, don't fukk up the cap, just sign some good role players to put around Melo and the draft pick, show some progress and make the playoffs and wait until next year when there's another great free agency class AND the cap is probably gonna rise as well. :mindblown:

But no, Knick fans want Phil to do some stupid trade to fukk up our cap, just so we can be a mediocre 30-something win team, get stomped out as an 8th seed in the playoffs and get a crappy ass draft pick. :beli:

We could be the fukking Nets who have NO picks, and no cap space. shyt, that was us last year. :heh: Ya'll remember that season right? That shyt wasn't fun at all right? :sadcam:

Knick fans are out here turning on Phil fukking Jackson of all people. :snoop: Ya'll didn't really expect him to turn around a losing culture spanning over a decade in a little less than a year.

Knick fans need to sit back, shut up and just embrace the tank. :ahh:

We've been losing for a decade, what the fukk is one more season? :comeon:

I really like Carmelo but he is no true franchise player. Plus, he's 30 and gettin banged up. I dont think he takes care of his body the way Lebron does.

That contract in like year 2, 3 and 4 will be :scust:

Melo is banged up because he won't take nights off. He has heart. Melo at SF with 2 legit bigs would be :wow:

Thats why he shoulda went to Chicago.
With D Rose changing up his game so he doesnt become the next Brandon Roy, Melo would have had a clear path to being the first option on that team

Lets keep it funky tho, his wife tastes like honey nut cheerios thats why he's in NY:sas2:
