The point of the triangle offense is melo scoring from all ova the place and in different ways
So no,they will not be functioning in the da same place

Get outta here with that defensive anchor talk
How did dat work out for us last time?

The Phil era is about team ball and team d
There's absolutely no reason why lma can't fit Into the system
Your just writing him off without giving him a chance

Melo needs a second player who can take over a Game. Never had one In his entire Career.
All the contending teams have a 1-2 punch

I like gasol tho, just think lma is the better player

And in the playoffs this year he WAS unguardable

Tyson is not Gasol. Tyson is always hurt or has the flu and doesn't have any of the size that Gasol has.

Aldridge is good, but he wasn't unguardable in the Playoffs at all. He was only unguardable by the Rockets because the refs trolled D12 the whole series and his back up (Omer) couldn't guard him. Aldridge got punked by Splitter until the refs started caping.

It's the home opener at the Garden, you cats give Chicago too much credit. And the Knicks HAVE beaten the Bulls with Rose. Granted they're 2-6 over the past 2 seasons though :yeshrug:

Chi is definitely given too much credit, but do you think their defense will be too much for NY early on because they're struggling so much offensively with the system right now? Or, would you say 4 preseason games is a poor measuring stick?

It's too early, I'll give them 25-30 games to really get comfortable with the triangle. Good thing the NBA season is a marathon & not a sprint.

I meant do you think it looks like they'll struggle (and probably lose) to Chi in at least the first 2 games because of the Bull's defense and NY's current struggles on offense with the Triangle?

They'll struggle yeah, but Chicago also has to work Gasol into their plans, but Rose has been looking like pre-injuries Rose during the preseason :patrice:

Just me: But I think Chicago is one of the best teams in the league.

Rose
Joakim
Pau
Butler
Taj Gibson
Dougie Buckets
Mirotic
Snell
Dunleavy

That's a 9-man rotation of useful players with VARIED skillsets, and its before you get to guys like Nazr/hinrich who can also be used well for 5-8 a game.
