Didnt Affalo put up 18 ppg a few years ago and played with Melo in Denver I'd take a long look at him to start at 2 for us if he accepts portland money

The Empire State
So right now the roster is
Starters:
Calderon
?
Melo
Porzingas
?
Bench:
Grant/Galloway/Larkin
Antetokoumpo
Early/Wear
Labeyrie
Amundson/Aldrich

We have the money to fill two holes with good players and if Kristaps can bulk up and not get hurt this year...we have a potential playoff team brehs

Larkin, Aldrich & Admundson are free agents.

Only cats locked in as of right now
Guards: Calderon:scust:, Galloway & Grant
Forwards: Melo, Early & Prizingis :scust:
Centers: 0

Acy, Shved & Wear all have qualifying offers.

We need some talent in the worst way.

"Scouts" said the same about Milicic, Tskitishvili, etc. Hardaway could still develop & work on his handles. He just played his 2nd year.

I have a really bad feeling this pick is going to bite us in the ass man. I would've just went with Trill & called it a day

Well, we could also list all the names of american players that have been flops that scouts loved, right?

I don't know if this kid is going to be great or good or average or a flop -- but the franchise has to think beyond winning with melo, what sets the team up best long term, and that's taking a shot at a star.

I was on board with WCS, I was on board with Mudiay... but I'm okay with this too.

SAS says Melo is pissed at the pick because its clearly a "post Melo" pick. Also while SAS didn't say Melo wanted a trade it might be a possibility. SAS also said Monroe isn't sure he wants to come to NY (probably because it looks like they are transitioning to post Melo).

If Melo wants Out.....fukk him lets go full rebuild:camby:

Basically... who the fukk cares what melo wants. We see how LeBron's GM'ing has gone. I'm happy to be making decisions post-melo, he's in his 30's, and the team will be here after he leaves. You gotta find a balance, in order to get sustained success.

Old Brooklyn, word to @DPresidential
New day, new attitude. I've gone from hating the pick (:pacspit:) to being indifferent (:yeshrug:) last night, to now being cautiously optimistic (:ehh:). Bottom line is KrisPo is donning the orange and blue, so he gets my full support

Now that the draft is over, I want to see if Phil grabs some undrafted talent for SL

:patrice: too much fukkery in the news today

I am feeling slightly more comfortable with the Portingiz pick today. From watching interviews and clips of his he seems to LEGIT love the game. Thats huge because he'll want to put in the work to become better. But we can only wait and see at this point, he is just a project.

I like Jerian Grant a lot :wow: That was a steal. I do feel weary about just giving up on young talent (timmy being only in his 2nd yr). But honestly timmy seemed to be stuck in his ways. Straight chuck status, never wanted to pass, awful handles. Hopefully we don't look back on this as a mistake.

And ff Melo really is mad then Phil better start looking at packages for him honestly. I'm talking some 1st rounders, young prospects we can use now and an expiring contracts.

I think the fact that the Knicks were able to get Grant actually makes Porzingis a good pick. You picked up the player with the highest upside in the draft at that point and you were still able to pick up one of the top point guards in the draft too. And let's be real, outside of the top 3, the rest of the draft is really a crap shoot. Even the top 3 isn't guaranteed. Look at the best young players in the league now. Most of them weren't the most highly touted in the draft anyway.

The media is refusing to talk about Grant because it ruins their talking point. I think KP is coming off the bench. Grant may start before he does.

If West and Monroe come a quality vet SG is needed too.

Just heard that grant is related to horace grant. Phil know what he's doing, lol

first time i saw him earlier in the year, i had a feeling he was horace son or either related to him. kid look just like him.

but overall, i love the pick, just wish we didn't trade hardaway jr for him. kid balled his ass off during the tournament. he aint scared to let that thang off either, don't mean that in a jr smith way but he makes alot better judgement with his shot selection. still kinda heated we didn't get winslow or wcs but, i'll just embrace the euro kid for NOW! :manny:
