I don't wanna assume, but I would not be shocked if Shump's "hamstring injury" is either cuz he's out of shape, unhappy because of the trade/not re-signing him rumors and/or because he's on the bench (where he belongs).

or...it could just be a result of not properly stretching. Doesn't have to be a story behind it. It's not preventing him from practice and it doesn't sound like he's gonna miss the next preseason game either.

I want to see if Shane larkin can really run a team and still look for his shot, he seems to be conflicted in what he wants to do

Timmy looked good, you can already see the difference between calderon/felton in terms of shooting

one thing I noticed in the triangle was they posted up whoever was playing the 2 on the opposite block of whoever was the primary big man, being we don't have a 2 that really plays the post like Jordan/Kobe
I'm interested to see how that goes during the season

We had some moments where we looked decent for the 1st game
Our bigs and their passing out of the post is my biggest concern right now

It's just a minor injury, he's available for the rest of the preseason, and more than likely he'll be the starting 2 going forth.

A Calderon/Timmy or Calderon/Smith combo is going to get lit up on the defensive end.
no doubt, but Shump's days here are numbered & he provides next to nothing on the offensive end. i would imagine that he's behind JR & timmy on the 2-guard depth chart because of their offensive ability. plus, isn't team defense/zone a big part of the new scheme?

correct me if i'm wrong...

Phil has already come out & said he likes Shump. If they do decide to move anybody, it's probably JR. (but i hope they keep all 3)

Boston continues to own NY

Last time Boston was in the playoffs, they were knocked out by the knicks.

The knicks have the best player on either roster.

that being said, they looked like shyt, which is to be expected. new system, less talent, less experience... we'll see how it shakes out.

Guys are going to have to know the triangle before there is any consistency... because learning it is hard.

Remember when some of the DIII posters in this thread were saying its an easy system to learn? :usure:

Patience will be key this year.
