Observations:

The team is NOT having fun during the game. (And this is a great thing). You can just tell that they are concentrating on player movement, defense, and ball movement. JR Smith is thinking so much about finding the right man that he is forgetting to shoot the ball. And this is good.

Gone are the days of freedom to jack shots from half-court and do the wind-up on on your knees or doing the discount double-check. The discipline and thinking is there now. Sure, I saw some relapses. I also some confusion and breakdowns of the triangle, but I also saw teammates directing Amare and others when they froze up and forgot that they had to keep it moving.

Yo...how many times did we have shot-clock violations? That was frustrating, but it shows you that the culture has changed. And they are trying.

I repeat, no one is having fun out there. They had fun last season, but were getting blown out and embarrassed and were getting laughed at. The joy they get this year will be from the winning and being proud of themselves as Knicks and as smart basketball players. I can see the transformation. And I know this is premature.

And yes...our new boys are solid. Shout out to Acy, Smith, Wear, and Larkin.

I was yelling at my tv telling Prigioni to make that layup instead of passing :snoop:...Those last 2 minutes were stressful.

Lets not forget: Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, Charles Barkley, and Reggie Miller. These were dudes that were all abused by Jordan and the triangle...and they hate it, resent, and have nightmares about it. They don't want anyone to run the triangle, thus the propaganda campaign to undermine what the Knicks are doing.

They were dissing us all pre-game and during the game. Repeatedly they said that the Knicks were failures, that they could not change habits, the triangle doesn't work, players are more important than a system. They expected us to be Lebron's sacrificial lamb yesterday and that they would once again be laughing at NY basketball.

After the game, everyone copped pleas for Bron and still didn't give us our props. :pacspit:

Fisher played the right players, sat the right players, and managed player minutes like a veteran. Looked like Popavich out there. He did not go with the crowd favorites. He went with those that played their roles and ran the system. The old Knicks that underachieved will have to step up to earn playing time from our new boys...or they can start subbing. Practice time is going to be very important for everyone. When things got close in crunch time I saw the indecision about whether the triangle was working but by the end, I think all realized that Fisher was right and they HAVE made progress and are different. The system works.

Honestly, we made the Cavs seem disorganized. Kyrie, Waiters, and Bron all pressing, jacking up pretty shots, and showing their handles......but we played with more discipline with them. And we made them look sophomoric yesterday.

New day brehs....I hope they keep working. Its only game 2. But I see the vision.

37FG's / 30 Assists but the Knicks played like the Old Knicks

STFU, Chuck and Reggie

Chuck's an ass. he was really downplaying the effect & success of the triangle offense. And @Cory MBA I'm not sure if the Knicks aren't having fun, but I do think that they're being more serious, especially after getting they're ass beat the night before. It was said during the telecast that the coaching staff went in on them duting the half about having a 3rd qtr letdown. It's good to see that it worked.

yea i noticed the same. he's been struggling with the shot, his D sucks most times and he's not gonna choose him over JR because Timmy's still a bit of a one-trick pony. plus, Shump was needed for lebron purposes.

Accountability...its a hell of a thing. Its so refreshing not seeing the same exact rotations that Woodson used every-single-game.

Shumpert guarded James for long stretches in the fourth quarter with great success. On the six plays he defended a possession that ended in a James action, he limited the four-time MVP to 0-for-2 shooting and four turnovers.

A big reason for that was you had Aldrige in and not Apostrophe

He still can't dunk with 1 hand :mjcry:, Next time just lay it up like you did in the 4th.

You know what was the most Beautiful part ab out last night?

Melo didn't check into the fourth quarter until around 8 minutes left!

We were playing efficiently... I'll day it again...
Effort.

And @Cory MBA I wouldn't say they didn't have fun out there...

It was more like a confident breh losing his virginity...he hasn't down it enough to "pipe" so the serious face...no talying trash to her...no signature moves...

But once he's been doing it for a while... He's going to put his best Justin Slayer impression every time.

Just wait till the end of the season...:jawalrus: that passing and having fun will be on troll level.
