He has talent, I'm not sure if the Knicks are the best environment for him though, just look a tthe fan reaction to him :francis:

I agree. The Knicks have a notoriously shytty reputation of drafting and developing players. As much as I hated the pick, the fans shouldn't have booed him as soon as Silver announced his name.

I guess I just don't see it like that. I agree with whoever said it earlier, brehs really wanted to spend the #4 pick on a role player, and I just don't fukk with that at all. If you're a losing team with a top 5 pick, in any sport, you take the dude with the most upside.

If there was some decision to make between Kristaps and a stone-cold clock and we took Kristaps I'd be mad, too.

But "we want to compete now" is the exact reason why the Knick's franchise has been in the trash for the better part of the last 15 years.

There is no combination of a player we could have drafted and this free agency that makes us compete.

None.

If it takes Kristaps 2-3 years to turn into something than :manny: it's going to take atleast two free agencies to turn this 20 win roster into something anyway.
Enough of this "role player" shyt. We can afford to get a role player. That contributes? Yeah I'll take that. What we can't afford is a flat out bust.

If we get a player who's peak is that of someone like Draymond Green? That's fine. We already have a fukking -#1 option. And this is NEW YORK. People want to be here. Especially if the roster situation is decent.

What's wrong with Winslow growing into a third option/lock down defender and getting a second option in FA? WHat we can't afford is a player who just doesn't contribute at all. fukk that.

Pretty embarrassing to be a Knicks fan tonight (then again, when isn't it?).

Why boo a 19 year old prospect that wants to play for your team? I just don't get it. So much of the reaction to this pick seems based on knee-jerk xenophobia and the idea that a rookie needs to immediately be a franchise player.
I think some of the booing had to do with the frustration that the Knicks were so close to getting Okafor, not really fair but what are you gonna do.

I don't like his mind set, he's already talking about Rihanna. NY bout to take this guy for a ride when he needs to be hitting the weights.
He has no idea how he's going to get clowned
