The problem is that Knicks fans only want the quick fix, it's why the team buys out Chauncey Billups to sign Tyson Chandler, without thinking about it and realizing they may need that amnesty provision for Amare.
The quick fix doesn't work, and Melo is 31, it's been time to face reality.
But that goes to what SAS was saying. If Phil is going young, your right trade Melo, but nothing points to him trading Melo and even if they wanted to trade him Phil gave him a no trade clause meaning the knicks can't just send him to a team for a shyt ton of picks.

Because damn near every Knicks fan thinks too highly of him, just look at the scorched earth shyt Phil has done all around Melo. If he could get Dolan to agree to it Melo would be gone, he's basically throwing everyone in the bushes

Everything has to go right for the Knicks on the FA market for them to even be in the discussion, and even then they still won't have the depth those other teams have.
Nah, the Hornets if healthy are going to make it, it's essentially the same team but with more shooting and scoring potential which is what they've lacked.
And it shouldn't be, if the Knicks land 2 quality FA they will make the offs barring injury. I'm starting to see the plan & I like it. The east is still weak and that can be taken advantage of

Idk breh, I see us making the offs next season. Usually injuries will take place and I think Melo has a bounce back year. Any time Melo has a legit second option the playoffs are pretty guaranteed.
